“Have been choosing China Garden for the best wonton soup and garlic chicken year after year in spite of moving away. The owners are always kind and food is consistent. We have eaten all over and time and again return for fresh ingredients, generous portions and excellent flavor.“

“The new menu revamp(as of 10/25/24) is great! We had the shrimp ramen and sesame chicken, portion sizes were large and the quality was greatly improved. Our takeout order was ready quickly. We finished off our meal with the cheesecake and it's delicious. Friday night the place

“This restaurant (which seems to be called CHINESE FOOD based on the sign outside of it) is better than your typical local Chinese takeout place. There is a wide variety of food and good prices.We ordered the Hunan Beef combination and the General Tso's chicken combination. The food was ready for pickup within 15 minutes and was very hot and fresh. It was flavorful and didn't have any unpleasant textures. My only minor complaint is that both of these dishes were listed as spicy on the menu but were not actually spicy at all.Overall, this a great place for a fast, easy meal that will fill you up.

“Never had a bad meal from here. We love the seafood dishes they have. Large shrimp and scallops and nice sized portions. Vegetables always seem fresh and hand cut. Large pieces of broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, water chestnuts, etc. Abundant portions. We always get two meals out of one dish, and sometimes three. This last trip…Shrimp, vegetables and rice. 3 meals.“

“No restaurant is 5 stars. However, as an avid traveler, foodie, and amateur chef, I would say this place is decently better than a 4.2 rating. I’d say 4.6+. Therefore, I’m rating it a 5 to bring the average up. I’m picky. This is a family run, Mom and Pop, old school Chinese restaurant despite the usual name. Their son said it was a literal translation of an eatery, or something. Great flavor, quality, and cuts of meat. They do a healthy takeout business, but no one seems to dine in. Accurate. Prompt. However, their dining room is immaculate! I love eating there. Always wide open. Tasteful and comfortable! Our small towns of Dexter, Chelsea, Scio, etc., are so fortunate to have an old school place like this 5-10 minutes from our rural homes without venturing into Ann Arbor. I hope you support them! “BEST pork fried rice…..EVER tonight. The restaurant was very busy but “Alexa” who took our order was so calm and collected. And then we got the food home….and the chef for Saturday Jan 20th did a phenomenal job on everything!! Hats off to the chef and spunky Alexa!!!“
