The Salty Dog is one of our favorite places up north. We look forward to going each time we are at our cabin. Check before you go for open times; I suggest you call and not rely on Google or internet for hours.Burgers are good but I prefer the pulled pork sandwich. They also have a grilled prime rib special now and then. We caught it once and it was out of this world. Wow! We stopped here on our way to walker and the food was incredible. We ordered burgers, pickle fries, and drummies and everything was 5 star. The man who owns the bar was our server and was so kind. Service is top notch. We hope to come back!

Service person was great. Food was great. No hard liquor just beer and seltzer type drinks. The burger was huge and good size order of onion rings too. If your in the Backus area I would recommend. It’s kind of out in lakes area and a little hard to spot in the curves but GPS it and you’ll get there. We’ll be back!!
