“Service person was great. Food was great. No hard liquor just beer and seltzer type drinks. The burger was huge and good size order of onion rings too. If your in the Backus area I would recommend. It’s kind of out in lakes area and a little hard to spot in the curves but GPS it and you’ll get there. We’ll be back!!”

“I stopped in to Sun and Fun in Hackensack for the first time yesterday and had a great experience. Shame on me but living in Walker for almost 20 years I never realized this gem was here. I had an old fashioned cherry malt and was by far the best I’ve had. The owner was great and very helpful. I will be bringing my family back to enjoy more treats. I highly recommend stopping in”

“We came here for dessert, 35 flavors of ice cream. Great staff and service. They will make 1 scoop out of two different flavors. We will have to come back to try a meal, saw the great reviews and some of the unique items. Wheelchair accessible. Good seating inside and outside. We were a group of 8, all very happy with our ice cream servings and the price. Thank you!”

“We’ve been vacationing in Hackensack, MN for years and enjoy supporting local businesses there. Took our family to Happy Pizza this year - very good pizza and friendly staff! Enjoyed the atmosphere and pizza photo op out front. We’ll be back next year!”

“Where do I start There’s a sign on the door: no minors allowed, didn’t think that meant my 3 month old…who wouldn’t cause a ruckus. Bartender didn’t stop us at the door to tell us, she waited until we sat down. She also asked “how long we were staying because there is a meat raffle and it gets busy…” very rudely as in leave soon. We mentioned we would stay for lunch and get out (if that’s ok if we stay with an infant who was sound asleep) she then said “well all we have is pizza so….” Yeah we’ve been waiting to try it but forget it. Defiantly not a welcoming lady unless your a regular apparently. But I guess we got a cheap beer”

“Decided to have a draft as we waited for the rain to end. We were surprised by the range and quality of brews. We enjoyed Staring Blindly, Big Ivan, Chapter One, and Its a Keeper. Folks behind the bar are as friendly as you can be.”

“This place isn't very good. I'm happy to be here though because the region is saturated with hamburgers, pizza and fries. It is a very strange place. They make you write your orders down and bring it to the register. They also won't give out a glass of water because they want to sell you a bottle. I'm giving it 5 stars because I don't want it to go away and I want to to be here in an emergency.”

“When I don’t feel like cooking, I call the Birchwood Char House. Food is always excellent, daily specials, mouth watering desserts, and the friendliest staff around!! Love Taco Tuesday and I never miss it due to needing my taco fix ;). Broasted chicken is finger licking delicious, and the prime rib special (I believe Saturdays) will have your tummy feeling like you won the lottery!”
