“Lifehouse is awesome. A warm, welcoming space with fabulous folks who are all about kindness and service. Go there and you'll find everything from toddlers on the floor to groups of seniors countering cabin fever. Great locally roasted coffee, and all sorts of snazzy drinks. Definitely try the oatmeal and the coffee cake!”

My parents especially appreciate their tasty throwback classics: corned beef with eggs and chipped beef on toast. I love the cranberry wild rice toast with a smear of orange marmalade. Sound good? “Stopped in for supper on the way home, and were pleasantly surprised after hearing some less-than-stellar word of mouth reviews. The atmosphere was nice, with lots of exposed natural-look wood and a homey feel to the bar (kind of a cabin-y look, which I personally enjoy.). The staff were friendly and attentive, and we got our food quickly. Someone at the next table tried the burger challenge, which looked pretty impressive all stacked up (they did not finish, unsurprisingly.)We got a couple of burgers - one mushroom & swiss and one bacon burger. Food was cooked perfectly and very tasty; definitely one of the better burgers I have had in this area. My partner had the cheese curds and they were cooked just right - definitely some of the best we've tried. Portion sizes were very fair for the price. We didn't have any drinks, but the tap selection looked very thorough.I understand Bites is under new management since our visit, and I hope they continue to be successful. We will definitely remember this place on our future travels.”

“Theeee best brew pub with in-house brewing in the Brainerd/Breezy Point/Nisswa area! The ambiance was inviting, the owner/bartender/brew-master was friendly and informative, and the brews are PHENOMENAL. From the best American IPA (Downrange) to the best customizable Sour Ale (Wretched Ale - Blood Orange flavor) to the best N/A Snarky Craft Soda (Orange Cream). Their flavors are all natural with no corn syrups and no sugar added. They even have delicious oven baked, no fry food. I heard they have live music on the weekends too! Snarky Loon Brewing Co. has everything you’ve been searching for in between your northern adventures! Veteran owned and operated. Thanks for a great experience Joe!!!”

“We are happy to enjoy a mexican food joint in pequot when the craving strikes, although some times this place can be a hit or a miss, we have had amazing food and service, and then we have had mediocre service and quality even when it's slow. Also, have showed up and had been closed a couple times. Beware, the building is in rough shape, needs total remodel, so if you don't look too close at the details, this places does satisfy a hungry for mexican food tummy!”
