“Great food and speedy friendly service!“

“I ordered the salad, side of fries and burrata with tomatoes appetizer. Fries were great, though cooled off quickly. Salad was fresh but for such a basic side salad, not at all worth it. The burrata was generous in the cheese serving. Just a small number of tomatoes and enough bread to get through half the cheese. Not necessarily a bad thing to be generous on cheese, but I'd plan to order extra bread (I ordered a side of pita). A very filling dinner.Service was great, as was the atmosphere.I ate here as I was staying here. Great option in that case, but wouldn't visit just for the food.“

I was literally treated like a princess… we were put in a private function room, complimentary Prosecco, 3 x birthday desserts, & we were looked after SO well by Scott. “Awesome place!! We walked in with a group of 11 at 8:50 pm, and the kitchen closed at 9, but they told us no big deal, go ahead and order food, which was so kind! The food was amazing, and they took time to explain everything. We had plenty of room to sit and enjoy ourselves, with three levels of seating. Even when it was time for them to close the taps, they gave us a heads up, but because we were talking too much we forgot to grab a last drink, so they turned it back on for us! They could have been so annoyed with a large group of chatty women, but instead they were so hospitable! Can't wait to return!!“

“Minneapolis can be intimidating for a small town Wisconsin girl like me. I was looking for a pub that felt like home and Mackenzie’s was exactly what I was looking for! Such a warm and cozy atmosphere. I was impressed by the very unique selection of seasonal cocktails and the pretty diverse menu (so many things looked good it was hard to decide). I’m still thinking of the Thai peanut wrap days later, seriously some of the best sauce I’ve had in my whole life. I can’t wait to come back next time I’m in Minneapolis!“

“We come here often, great food. The staff is wonderful. Taco pizza, pickle pizza, wings, salads… Everything is good. Fun atmosphere!
We are always surprised how dirty the front doors are. You need to clean the glass multiple times a day, so it looks nice when people walk in. I’m not kidding. This was a topic of conversation at our table the other day because both doors are always filthy. The hosts at the front stand around a lot, they can windex the glass throughout the day. First impression is everything.“

“I have been going to Bo Diddleys for over 30 years and Bo Diddleys subs are the best except for the fact that they switched to Miracle Whip from the traditional Mayo. I remember them trying this switch years ago and they did end up going back to Mayo. At least give us a choice between Miracle Whip and Mayo. Remainder of menu is great.“

“Love the new space. Digital signage said burgers were $3 on Wednesdays. They were $4. Still tasty and a great deal, but update your sign. I sat for 10 minutes and watched the server take a picture of people at a table and chat with her friends. Never came near my high top table. I finally went to the bartender (very nice) who took my drink and food order. Server swung by 10 minutes later (20 minutes after I sat down). Told her I ordered from the bartender. She never stopped by after that. I was there for 45 minutes, saw her interact with her tables twice. Service was pretty scarce. 2 or 3 staff sitting in a booth. If the bartender hadn't been awesome, I would have left. Burger and onion rings were good.“

“Great drinks and food, really cool building!

Only complaint is service was a bit slow, there was clearly only one server working at the time and she was running around like crazy dealing with every table while the 2 or 3 bartenders were standing on their phones lol. Maybe have less bartenders and more servers to balance out the workload.

That being said, our server (light blonde haired girl, I can’t remember her name?) was fantastic!!! Super kind, funny and helpful. Next time we’re in the area, we’ll be coming back for those nachos & long islands!“
