“We love Giovanni's and we're so glad to hear they had come back. We love their food and greatly appreciate the delivery aspect of the restaurant as well. However, we do wish they would stick the hours posted on Google and their doors. Sometimes we will find that they've closed a few hours early. Their buffet is also great but we find that when we go, they don't have any of the classic pepperoni, beef/sausage, or just cheese out very often. We love Gio's and hope to continue enjoying them often. P.S. the fruit pizzas are missed :)“

“We got in later on a Friday night. After unpacking our bags, we decided to find a place to eat and this was just down the street from where our room was. I think we walked in the door around 8:00 p.m. as a matter of fact. Had two young guys working that night and it was pretty quiet as far as people inside the restaurant were concerned. I think they were busy doing to-go orders though. Very nice staff and they were quick to get our order made and out to us. Always enjoy service with a smile which seems to be a rarity these days. Pizza was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. I loved how you could get exactly what you wanted on the pizza and so I ordered some artichoke hearts. So much food we couldn't finish our pizza, so we took some home with us that night. Would definitely eat here again when I'm around there.“

“Absolutely best restaurant I’ve been to in Minnesota. I wish they had the classic grill in the cities, but it’s always a special treat coming to our lake home and getting the experience of eating here. The food is phenomenal, the staff is amazing and the atmosphere is unmatched. Every time I visit, I can count on trying one of the new menu items and being in awe of the flavors and presentation. The favorite orders of our group were the Indonesian chicken satay appetizer, the chef’s risotto, and the truffle citrus scallops. My attached picture won’t do it justice, but the presentation of the meals is so unique. If they had Michelin star restaurants in Minnesota, this would for sure be the running. Maddens resort is truly the best location in the brainerd area.“

“I ordered pizza and tots. Staff greeted me as I walked in and it looked like they were somewhat busy. All the staff had smiles on their faces and look like they were having a good time. Dan (the GM of that store) rang up my order and handed me my food as soon as I walked in. He had a smile and engaged in conversation with me to make the visit even better. Food was made perfect and was hot. Store looked clean and they even have a chalk wall that they let the kids draw on. If you're in Brainerd and want some pizza you should stop in and see Dan.“

“Our waiter was kind and quick to answer our questions and concerns about allergens. He stayed attentive during our visit and kept our waters filled. Our experience featured a beautiful view of the golf course and we got to watch planes flying by. My girlfriend and I ordered our steaks medium rare but mine came out a little tough. Hers was cooked perfect and her meal was amazing. I felt my meal was decent and not worth the price, but the shallot butter pan sauce was spectacular.

Dietary restrictions: I’m allergic to peanuts and shellfish so the waiter double checked my dinner choices. Ended up switching choices due to cross contamination in the frying oil and had to swap my fries for a loaded baked potato.“
