“Been here several times already, and safe to say this is my favorite place for breakfast in the Twin Cities and the best restaurant that's earned the James Beard award imo by far. My favorites are both the flap jacks and waffles, the hash browns, and the eggs; all made fresh to order! Love coming here each time for breakfast trying something new, or to get a usual. Service is always top notch. Very social atmosphere, and the staff is always happy to refill drinks, and help answer questions if you have any. Note that they use cash, and try to get here as soon as they open. Lines do occur, so plan accordingly if you need to wait.Parking: There are paid street parking spaces, and some free spaces to park in The Marshall Ramp, and the Identity Appts alleyway.“
“Had an amazing breakfast experience at Fat Nat's Eggs over the weekend! Despite the early morning rush at 8am, we were seated immediately, no wait required. The service was impressively quick and the staff were incredibly friendly. Our orders came out in no time, and the food was absolutely delicious. I was pleasantly surprised by the Mexican American twist to their breakfast menu—truly unique and scrumptious. It's safe to say Fat Nat's Eggs has become my new favorite spot for breakfast. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fantastic meal to start their day!“
“Everything here is always excellent! The food, the service, the ambience. The manager regularly patrols the dining area to check in with patrons and make sure we are all happy as clams. And their salsa is so good I could just drink it!!!I recommend making a reservation as this place is always bustling. We last came here on a weekday holiday and the reservations were all open (except for ours), but the waiting area was super packed. We were seated right away of course. My favorite time to visit is when it's cold and dreary out, and the weather is getting to you (either early or late in the season). Bring family/friends and OPHMG will lift everyone's spirits. They have seasonal dishes and drinks during the holiday months, too.Seriously tho wish I could buy that salsa by the jar lol“
“Dined in on 3/25 and was greeted by Thunder who was very pleasant and inviting! He talked me through some great menu items and mock tails! I very much his service and the atmosphere provided by the Nicollet Diner! 10/10 will definitely be coming back!“
“I enjoyed my dining experience here. There was an approximately 10 minute wait to be seated. We sat at the bar. I liked the seats because we could see the food coming out of the kitchen and the hustle and bustle of the wait staff right in front of us. My order was correct and the food was hot and tasted great. The pancakes are HUGE! Though I do not eat gluten, my date said his pancakes had a lot of blueberries and the taste was great! I gave 4 stars for atmosphere because it was noisy and music was playing overhead. If you are looking for a quiet place, this is not it. The staff was attentive and kind. I highly recommend this restaurant ?“
“Had a good breakfast here after an event at the Earle Brown Center. I'm a pancake lover and theirs are really good. They're not the light fluffy kind, they're more dense and really delicious. Huge, served hot, and have a nice hint of vanilla. My only gripe is no real maple syrup, even for an extra cost, and the only alternative to the fake stuff is diner-grade strawberry jam or grape jelly. Lots of nice whipped butter tho :)Other diners at my table liked the French toast, eggs & toast and the American fries. They really know how to do eggs, I'd come back and try an omelet or one of the specials.Vegetarian options: Substitutions are not allowed so you might be SOL if you want something without the meat. For the pancakes or French toast you can choose between bacon or eggs on the side.“
“I can't believe I never heard of this breakfast place! Super cute and tucked into the back of a strip mall. Easy to miss. Great breakfast foods and styles of yesteryear, the other side looks like a bar with a bunch of townies, we'll have to check that out sometime!“
“I personally love diners and breakfast, so I'm biased. I live around town and I went for my first time on a Sunday recently. A really warm feel when you walk in, classic ceramic coffee mugs, traditional breakfast meals. I sat at the cafe counter so i was able to chat with the staff and it was an all around good experience; having a meal to myself, even in a crowded cafe! And I“
“What a nice surprise. I usually judge a place by their ability to do something correctly, for this Eggs over hard. You would be surprised how miraculously some places mess this up. But Brothers got it perfect, first try. I will be back, great tasking food, cool vintage atmosphere, and great prices too.“
“Visited for early morning breakfast. Local street parking was available, just have to take a drive around the block.Vast menu selection! Easy to tell everything is prepped from fresh, not frozen. Service was excellent. Coffee was great - onsite barista!Very good quality for the price. We’ll be back!Vegetarian options: Easy to find vegetarian menu options.Dietary restrictions: Menu clearly calls out ingredients and offers GF toast options.Wheelchair accessibility: Street level, easy entry with push button entry/exit.“
