“We came in right when it opened (unbeknownst to us) and they helped us out right away. We got two boba smoothies - taro and mango. The smoothies were good but as a smoothie, I'd recommend the black Boba pearls to go with it.For our lunch, we got one Chashu ramen bowl and a DIY poke bowl (raw salmon, white rice, edamame, mango, avocado, onion, scallions, furikake, sesame seeds, wonton strips, eel sauce, and spicy mayo). The poke bowl was delicious and it was about $15. The ramen was also good and was about $16.The decor in the place is engaging - especially their tables and wall art. I would come back again.I would expect to spend around $15 - $20.“
“Spicy Thai Tofu Bowl(Tofu, red bell peppers, straw mushrooms, potatoes, romaine lettuce, seasoned rice and zing sauce)I was not a fan of coconut curry flavors until visiting Vellee a few days ago. I called an audible and ordered the Spicy Thai Tofu Bowl. Before we walked in the door, I just knew I was going to order the Korean BBQ bowl. I am delighted I was wrong. The chef perfectly dialed the spice level (#2) to my hopefulness, partnering it well with the zing sauce. I’m not sure I’ve ever had a zing sauce, but it was persuasive enough to make me change my mind about curries. The creamy coconut sauce covered the fresh ingredients with comforting casualness. The sauce to rice ratio was good – as was the sweet to heat ratio. My favorite surprise ingredient was the potato! It felt like it belonged all along. I left Vellee very satisfied, wanting nothing more or less. The vibe was as energetic as the boom box display on the far wall. I intend to go back again in attempt to get the Korean BBQ bowl.“
“Food was delicious! This is my second time here already. We loved everything we ordered, from the pork belly to the red curry, and papaya salad. If you haven’t tried, definitely stop by and give it a try.Parking: Plenty of space!Kid-friendliness: I brought all my four kids and it was a great experience!“
“World Street Kitchen is a decent fusion restaurant with some unique(ish) menu items you won’t find anywhere. Never been impressed by one of their offerings and most things you can find better elsewhere but I have also never had a bad meal. Just fine! Atmosphere in the restaurant is good and seems somewhat clean. Service is a little on the slow side.“
“Delicious, homemade Filipino comfort food! I had the combo with lumpia, garlic rice, and chicken adobo. The chicken was so tender and flavorful, and with the rice it was like a hug in a bowl. The lumpia was PERFECT. The owner is very nice, and the food came out hot and fresh. There is not much seating, so it’s mostly for takeout.“
“Made reservations for an early Sunday dinner online. Website is easy to navigate and menus are updated. Parking was super easy, spacious lot around the restaurant. Staff were very attentive and answered any questions we had. Food came promptly and was well paced between appetizers and main course. My mocktail was DELICIOUS. The ramen was good, but a little on the sour side for my personal taste. That may have been on me since I didn’t realize the mushrooms were pickled! Overall, good place for a nice meal out!“
“This is by far the best Thai that we have in the neighborhood! I usually get pad Thai and red curry anytime I try a new place, and I’ve been disappointed with the two other places nearby—but not here! I asked for pad Thai Flamin hot with tofu and it’s one of the best I’ve had in a very long time. The tofu was perfectly cubed and fried without being greasy, and the sauce a rich brown color with notes of peanut, tamarind, and lime (slightly sweet and tangy), and the spice was perfectly hot without being overpowering. Most other places give me mild/medium when I ask for Thai hot, and this place actually listened. The red curry was also memorable with bright flavors from the Thai basil and veggies. Poured over rice, it’s a heavenly combo perfect for a cold night. I am so grateful to have a new go-to Thai spot! I hope they stick around for a long time.“
“The eggrolls were shaped funny, but it was seriously the juiciest egg rolls I’ve ever had! Wondering if they put chicken bouillon in there. Super savory and the sauce was super savory as well! The chili pepper in the sauce are real Thai chili peppers lol! ? The regular pho was tasty, and the boat noodle was clean and tasty as well. What made the biggest difference was the chili oil that they had! Idk if it was home-made, but it made the pho extra flavorful. Haven’t had boat noodle this good in a while! The owners were very friendly. 10/10!“
“The food is delicious and SUPER HOT. I had the shrimp green curry with red and green bell peppers. It was served in green curry sauce with rice on the side. I had two appetizers: spring rolls and pot stickers each with its own dipping sauce. The service was exceptional. The food came hot and ready to eat. I had green tea to top it off.“
“Sidewalk Kitchen is a name that does not seem obvious to have Chinese cuisine. I think they are a solid takeout and eat in when I am crabing some Chinese food. A friend of mine from China recommended this spot. She said that it had options closer to what she would order in China, so it was more authentic to her. One day, I ordered some garlic coated string beans with white rice, an order of fried chicken wings, and #76. Szechuan Spicy Diced Chicken with fried rice. The service was decent and attenive, the food was flavorful, and the portions allowed us to have seconds. For two, the bill was also reasonable. When we asked for some soy sauce and hot oil, the flavor of the food definitely was enhanced. The food tasted fresh and appeared to be fresh off the press, so that makes me happy to know that things move quickly through this place and they have a steady flow of patrons in the University of Minnesota area.“
“Wife and I had the chance to dine here, in the malcolm yards, today. I'll be willing to go on a limb, and say their fried chicken Sammy, is better than revivals. The char sui, jasmine rice ( just trust me on this) and the kimchi slaw were all on point. However, the most pleasant surprise I had, was how well the sliced chili's and fried leeks went with the french fries. definitely will be returning soon to give the cauliflower, and sesame fried chicken a whirl.“
“This is our new favorite sushi restaurant! We have now been here a few times and we are never disappointed! It is never overly busy. The service is excellent. The food is phenomenal! This last time we got the sushi for two meal it is was well worth the money! We got a beautiful tray of sushi and two miso soups and salads. Everything was delicious!“
“Food is good! I really liked the heat (I got the spiciest you can get) with the chicken currito, if there was a possibility to get it hotter... I probably would. Tastes similar to the curry we would make back at home but in a burrito. The burrito is huge.I think I'd like to try the banh mi to see how good those are next time.My biggest knock on it is that the price is a little higher for lunch BUT I thought it was worth it.“
“Our first time here... The food was great! All but 2 tables in the main section were full. Spicy selection from 0 to 5... we got a few 3's and a 2.Chicken Green Curry at 2 was great.Beef Red Curry ordered a 3 but seemed sweet and lighter in spice than the green Curry. The seafood salad 3 was goodAnd the chicken fried rice at 0 was tasty... with no spice at all.Egg rolls and Thai sausageThe price for 4 adults was $100 without tipParking: As it was put first time here we are not up on the parking... for us it was difficult.“
“Several options for those who want hibachi or teriyaki chicken to sushi rolls. They adapted well and accommodated our request for a group of 30 from 6:30 to 2:30pm. They were short on chefs (understandably) but did their best. The chefs were fun and interactive.Only complaint about the food was the yum yum sauce. This tasted like runny mayo - I don’t think anyone at our table used this. The ginger sauce was good. Salad and soup are served with each entree. Protein, rice, 2 shrimp, vegetables and Udon noodles (unexpected surprise - yum!!) accompany your hibachi order.Definitely recommend making a reservation when coming here but you’ll leave full and satisfied. The broccoli toss into our mouth was a fun twist!“
“Perfection!!!! This place is a tucked away JemVegetarian options: Is there a very accommodating when placing your orderDietary restrictions: Not only do they have fried but they have steamed options as well for a person who cannot have fried food that is amazing“
“I want to give this cute spot five stars! The Cove is a no frills lunch spot with a lot of customizable options (brown rice, pick all your favorite toppings, sauces and spice level). I think the quality is solid and the portion sizes are generous! The missing star is to account for the inconsistency. Sometimes a level 2 spice level is perfect and sometimes it's wayyyy to much. Sometimes they add lots of fish, sometimes just a few pieces. I think it just depends on who is working that day. I think they could improve on staff training to improve consistency. Despite this, I find myself coming back to this delicious spot for a quick and filling lunch! It's definitely worth going and trying out! I also think the fusion theme is awesome - they have sushiritos, banh mi, rice bowls, steam buns, sambusas, burgers, etc! It's a pretty impressive variety.“
“When I was craving sushi the other night and didn't feel like going out in the cold, this new takeout & delivery only restaurant popped up so I decided to try it. And I'm so glad that I did! The sushi arrived quickly and was super fresh. I got 2 spicy hamachi rolls, 2 spicy tuna rolls, and a miso soup. The soup was good but nothing to rave over, and rolls exceeded my expectations. They were fresh, tasty, and a good size. I even packed some for lunch the next day (still tasted great as leftovers) and the rice stayed soft too! Would definitely recommend for an at-home sushi night.“
“I chose to dine in, but the did was still served in a takeout container. I wish I had a bowl or plate to eat off of.Also, please add eggs to the menu. I put a scrambled or fried egg in every stir fry I make and would love to be able add that as an option. Finally, the kiosk ordering is really nice, but all the options for each step should be on one screen. Clicking through the veggie options, I couldn't even remember what I picked.4/5. Make these three changes and I'd be back weekly!“
“After getting takeout from a couple locations, we had the best experience by far dining in. Takeout didn't do the food justice. Best to eat fresh, and get extra sauce from the servers if you need it.Kid-friendliness: Staff were friendly to young children, which always makes families feel welcome. They had high chairs. Can't remember if bathroom had changing table-- will check next time and update.“
“Love their food and atmosphere, but their website is frustrating. Their sauces are great and I especially love the option of adding dumplings into your stir fry - it really adds a lot to the experience. They do a great job advertising their deals and specials but I have tried on many occasions and they will not work through their online ordering, which is maddening and has actually prevented me from ordering a couple times. It always seems to be missing a step and will not let you proceed. Very misleading and disappointing for something being advertised but you can’t use it.Vegetarian options: Any bowl can be vegetarian but the vegetable to starch ratio is a little low.“
“This place has some very delicious asian food. They also have some good vegetarian and vegan options. The only problem is the menu! they do have any menu, they have some items written on the back wall, but it does not have all their items. The food is very delicious and I must say that they make the BEST Lo Mein in town. The price is very reasonable and its your wallet friendly.“
“I've never been to the physical restaurant, but I always order the pho soup through Uber Eats, they give super generous portions and the soup is always so tasty, I started ordering the soup about 7 times a month, not to mention the price is affordable !! You can try this restaurant, it's worth every penny :)“
“Got food delivered to work. They have generous portions. I ordered the Fried Rice with Bulgogi (beef)Price is decent, $11.95 for just the rice and up charge for meat.Flavor is good, not to salty. A little on the oily side but overall pretty tasty. I recommend a try. They got a decent variety.“
“Very quick service. They have a limited menu of chicken wings, fried rice, chow mein, egg rolls, and egg foo young. I had the house fried rice with crab meat. It seemed like it was real crab, not just imitation crab meat. Chicken wings are crispy, very hot, and delicious. I have been here twice and plan to come back regularly although I don't live in the area.“
“A small unassuming shop, but the food knocked our socks off! We loved the flavors of the Montego Bay bowl and my wife did a build-your-own bowl which was also fantastic. Fresh mango and veggies on the side were delicious - but the Calypso egg rolls were just amazing. They have a bold crunch and a delicious sauce that I just can't get over. I'm still thinking of them!“
