“Ate here for the first time a couple of weeks ago and the food was amazing. We had multiple apps, burgers, and a flatbread and it was all delicious. Bar food but high quality. Cocktails were also delicious and a great tap selection. We'll definitely go back.“

We had the ahi tuna stack, miso sea bass, and the lobster pasta (can’t remember the name) and everything was INCREDIBLE. We wanted to order pretty much everything, it was so hard to decide! I would officially consider this one of the best menus south of the River - can’t wait to come back and do another round of taste testing until we make our way through the whole menu! Shout out to Michael our server - he always goes above and beyond (I somehow always end up in his section 😂 and he is fantastic!)“

“Came to McHugh's Public House recently to catch up with a friend. The staff was extremely kind, helpful, and attentive, and the restaurant, in spite of being pretty busy on a weekday evening, was laid out in a way that my friend and I could have a great conversation without having to shout. We kept things simple with the food and drinks, and everything we had was enjoyable. Will likely be back in the future if I'm in the area.“

The food and atmosphere really isn't incredible in any sense but the restaurant is clean, the food arrives quickly and accurately, and the sure maybe the menu variety is pretty limited but everything arrived hot and was tasty. “We had a wedding reception dinner here last Saturday and I would highly recommend it. Mike was so helpful the last month answering all my questions and getting everything I needed to make our night perfect. Everyone was ranting and raving on how good the food was! Our bartender Kyle C. was awesome! He was busing tables and serving drinks like a champ. He even found me the last Busch light in the bar and saved it for me. Our night could have not been more perfect thanks to the hard working staff here. Best of all it worked great with our budget! “I am always skeptical of bar food, but Yankee Tavern was a pleasant surprise. I ordered the burrito bowl with the brisket on the side (I'm a vegetarian) and they were easily able to accommodate the request and give the brisket to my table mate. The food was incredibly flavorful. Yes, even without the meat. The rest of our party shared the same sentiment. The French fries were crispy, the food hot, the portions large, and the service was great. My only complaint is they only played new country music the entire time. That may actually keep me from returning.

Maybe I'll just get it to go next time.....“

“While the food was good, service needs improvement. I had the Potato Skins which were very good. My husband had the Ruben. He asked for fries and got waffle fries. Was never offered seasoned sour cream, while my cousin ordered fries, got crinkle cut fries and was offered seasoned sour cream. My husband said the Ruben was good but could have used a little more dressing. Not once were our water glasses refilled or was the offer made to have them refilled.“

“We absolutely love this neighborhood restaurant. The Thai wings have me in an absolute chokehold. The breading on the wings gives them a delicious, crispy crunch, and the flavor is a 10/10. We’ve had several of the pizzas also and those are a slam dunk every time. And the servers are all super attentive and helpful with menu choices. It’s hard to decide what to try next!“

Cheese curds are lightly battered and lightly fried. Perfectly melted cheese inside. Very nicely done.
Walleye had good flavor with a nice butter sauce.

“Visited 01MAY2023 for lunch. There was only one waitress working who also served as hostess so it took a while for my party of three to get seated. When we did get seated the hostess/waitress told us that we could sit anywhere.
I ordered the cowboy club sandwich and tater tots which didn't take too long to arrive. The club sandwich was good but the tater tots were a bit cold.
Visited again 17NOV2025 for dinner. The service was excellent. Plenty of staffing with friendly staff.
Unfortunately, my meal was disappointing. I ordered the small cowboy cookout platter. My 3 meat selections were pork ribs, beef brisket, and chicken wings. The ribs and brisket came with sauce on them. I'm not a fan of the sauce and should've ordered it on the side. All 3 meats were dry. The positive is there was plenty of meat for $22, unfortunately none of it tasted good. The dinner came with baked beans and coleslaw which were actually good. You get a 3rd side with this platter so you better have an appetite if you're eating alone.“

“In between flights we stopped at Ike's Clubhouse. We were trying to find a reasonable spot. We all know airport restaurants can be expensive. But with the luck of Google, we were able to find Ike's. Chase, our waiter was good. My wife and I weren't too hungry so we told Chase we were going to share a meal. Well to our surprise, the server came out with our meal split in two plates. My wife and a were in aww of the hospitality. I know I know that you're thinking, that is a minor detail, but to us that went a long way. I was just expecting a plate with our food, I'd cut it in half and ask for another plate, but they thought about that prior. Besides that, the food was good, the price was reasonable for an airport restaurant and the hospitality was top notch. Thank you Chase and staff!!

“We got diverted to MN and after being up since 2am, with no real food for 16 hours we were starving. We ordered the club sandwich with fries and wow! I realize we were hungry but honestly I'd order that again any day. It had a ton of ham and turkey. The bread was perfectly toasted. Perfect amount of mayo. Fresh leafy lettuce, not the spine. And the BACON was the star...amazing taste and mostly perfectly cooked and both chewy and crisp. Fries regular crinkles but hot and crispy and not hard. Robert and Yemata were great! I wish I had thought to take a before pic....but here's the after. Nom nom nom. Give them a try! We also saw the burger and it looked huge.“
