“I tried Trieu Chau for the first time today I had the Bahn Mi. Absolutely fantastic the best bread ever and grilled pork!!! super fresh ingredients. I can’t wait to come back. I live about an hour and a half north of Duluth. If they brought this type of food up by us, they’d be a millionaire overnight nobody is making quality Vietnamese food.!!!!!!!!“

“Visited dozens times last 25 years. Satisfactory everything. It's really amazing they have expanded their menu, massive redo of the interior, grown the staff but not skipped a beat. Their standards and dish quality remain remarkably consistent year after year.
Over the years clientele has expanded from strongly Asian to mainly caucasian not just from nearby communities but also cross town and cross city. A measure of their success adapting their menus to local tastes all the while maintaining their emphasis on Vietnamese tradition.
We ordered viet hot coffee (cold servings more popular nowadays) and was great tasting as usual, not with traditional metal micro brew but American expresso style, another clue to how they maintained traditional flavors but modernizedand sped up their serving.
Our entre was grilled pork and rice bowl with fried egg roll, a tiny cup of serving sauce and heaping chopped vegs carrot, lettuce and cucumber. All fresh tasting, easy to eat with knife and fork or chopsticks. Believe the bowl size has increased a bit recently. This serving is genuinely tasty, richly flavored as though grilled by hand over charcoal but clearly prepared in an efficient modern style, fat and bones trimmed away so every bite is smooth and satisfying.
I highly commend and recommend this restaurant for larger mixed groups, office parties because everyone will be comfortably seated and deliciously fed“

“This is the first time my wife and I have visited Saigon Uptown, and we were extremely impressed. They have amazing food that is served and prepared by wonderfully friendly people. We would highly recommend the Pork Egg Rolls, the Pho (I had the Pho with beef, filet mignon and meatballs), and the banh mi.“

“FANTASTIC spot. So so so unbelievably glad I went a little out of my way for this spot, as I am on a 1,000 mile road trip and it brought me great comfort. Clean, fast, good prices, but most of all unbelievably DELICIOUS. I was literally blown away by the amazing smell before I even walked fully through the door.
The Pho was just the thing I needed after an 8 hour day on the road and I would come back out of my way for this place in a heartbeat.“

“That's a five star worthy pho. Easily. I'd say this is at the top of my twin cities pho tour. All around fantastic. Cash only, so come prepared. Atmosphere is a bit cramped and not so comfy, but the pho is all the comfort you need haha“

“One of my favorite spots in Minneapolis! I eat here a few times a month (minimum) and every single time it is delicious. The consistency, quality, and taste are top notch. My favorite is the sesame chicken combo and when I tell you IT HITS EVERY TIME 100/10. Fabulous sized portions and so reasonably priced- I spend $15 and feed myself for two meals. Staff is so kind and attentive. The restaurant is always clean and welcoming. I couldn’t say enough nice things about this place. Egg rolls are incredible incredible incredible also plus the sauce it comes with.“

“A shame that it will close on May 28! Try it before it closes, and make sure to support them immediately if they reopen elsewhere! I went there twice in just 1 long weekend, it was that good! I've had this restaurant on my list for awhile because of rave reviews from friends. When I heard it was closing, I knew I HAD to try it. My 1st visit, I had their Bún bò Huế. I was shocked at how delicious it was. The 2nd time I ordered a weekend-only dish. I can't recall the name, but it wad a Bún with tomato soup. I also ordered Com Tam, Suon, Bi, Cha- Broken Rice Platter With Grilled Pork Chop , Pork Meat Pie & Shredded Pork Skin to go, leftovers for Monday. EVERYTHING I've eaten so far tasted amazing. The interior has a warm, nostalgic, old-school vibe. I talked to regulars there, and they shared about how this restaurant loves the Rondo/Frogtown community & spilled the tea as to why it is closing. The aunties taking orders were friendly & kind. I plan to visit at least 1 more time before it closes!! It's that good.“
