“Great food, great service, very friendly. Date night once a week. This was the place for date night every Thursday for many years with my wife. When I brought coworkers for lunch it became at least once a week meetup till I retired. I still go as often as I can to meet friends, family and the great staff.“

“I started hanging out here when it first opened up in 1991 and thought that it was a crime that so few patrons frequented the place. Now, it's a victim of its own success: very crowded at happy hour and too many cheezy events. But, I still love the place when I can find a spot at the bar.

We know we’re getting incredible food every time, which keeps us coming back. The pizza and burgers? Unbeatable. The truffle fries? An absolute must. And if you haven’t tried the corn dip yet, do yourself a favor and order it... it’ll be a permanent starter in your rotation after one bite. “Went on a Saturday afternoon and it was extremely busy. We went around lunch time it was just packed. Food was good, we ordered pizza and it was very good. It took a while to get it, but again it was very busy. Very quick to refill drinks overall it's a pretty fun place. A lot of TVs we were watching the twins and Gopher basketball at the same time. “One of the true hidden gems of the Twin Cities metro, an absolutely fantastic nerd and even kid-friendly space (foosball, arcade machines, darts are all favorites). There are few better places to meet up and play a game - personally, not being a sports person, I love the lack of TVs, nothing to sap your attention or make you feel captive to random commercials. I go there regularly to play TTRPGs. Great beer, alcoholic and non-alcoholic seltzers, you can BYOF (Mashawi grill up the road is delicious). The beers aren't the usual 6 IPAs and 5 sours, there's a nice mix of British and German styles (including wheat beers, which are weirdly hard to find).

There are absolutely a million play spaces in different nooks and crannies in the building, you can always find a quiet place to play even if there's music, etc. The owner hosts tons of events, nerdy and otherwise. I only wish I could drink more beer and go more often.“

“The Bulldog is a pretty standard place, warm beer, stiff drinks, but the reason I'm giving it a five star review is because of our server Hannah. She was AWESOME! She was also friendly, attentive and accommodating. We would go back to the Bulldog just because of her. Thank you Hannah for bringing some joy to our hang!“

“I have been to Pub 42 many times either by myself or with a party up adds of 6 people. The atmosphere is inviting and friendly. We have had the pleasure of having Riley and Iza as our servers on many occasions and I can’t stress how kind and accommodating both of them are, I have celiac disease and they are knowledgeable about the ingredients and the process of the food so that I am safe when eating there. Including the double checking and making sure that my food is gluten free, and with very limited chance of cross contamination. Both do a great job of making sure the food is good and arrives at an appropriate time, while being friendly and kind and connecting with us as patrons. I would recommend pub 42 to anyone and everyone and tell them to request being seated in either Riley or Iza’s section to guarantee them the best of service available.“

“Food is fine, nothing special, but what irks me is paying extra for fries. Burgers and fries and I have to pay extra for fries? Because I don’t want chips? It’s literally potatoes! I’m not a fan of their electronic pay system that automatically has different tips with that minimum at 18%. I always do 20% but it’s the principle. And it’s based on tax. I’m not tipping on tax. The people who work there are nice though.“

“Love the new space. Digital signage said burgers were $3 on Wednesdays. They were $4. Still tasty and a great deal, but update your sign. I sat for 10 minutes and watched the server take a picture of people at a table and chat with her friends. Never came near my high top table. I finally went to the bartender (very nice) who took my drink and food order. Server swung by 10 minutes later (20 minutes after I sat down). Told her I ordered from the bartender. She never stopped by after that. I was there for 45 minutes, saw her interact with her tables twice. Service was pretty scarce. 2 or 3 staff sitting in a booth. If the bartender hadn't been awesome, I would have left. Burger and onion rings were good.“
