“We enjoy coming to JJs for Bingo and food and drinks. It’s usually busy on Bingo days, but we get there early and can get a table and order food and drinks before the first number is called. The service is good even though the place is super busy, and prices are reasonable. The waitresses are very upbeat, laugh at my husband’s jokes and refill our drinks without us having to ask. My husband’s favorites are the lasagna or chicken potpie. I usually have the Caesar salad with salmon and it has been good, although once or twice the salmon was slightly overcooked. The last time I thought I’d try something different and ordered the turkey melt and was sorely disappointed. I was looking forward to a slightly greasy sautéed sandwich with gooey cheese oozing out, stuffed with turkey. Instead the sandwich I received was like dry toast, with two slices of cheese stuck to it and a skimpy amount of turkey. I ate the turkey and peeled the cheese off, but it was very underwhelming. Please learn how to make a proper melt sandwich or take it off the menu. I won’t be ordering it again. Not giving a terrible rating, because this has been the only bad experience in over two years, but I just had to let you know the sandwich was terrible. Thanks.”

“The food was great but our server, Aurora, was the highlight of the night. Excellent service and made the visit a wonderful a time.

We had the Pad Thai, Yellow Curry, and Lechon.

The lechon (small plate/appetizer) was smaller in portion than I would have expected for the price, but was still good.

The portions for the main dishes were generous and the food was flavorful.

“Nice place for a small gathering or meeting. We had a reserved room. Due to medical conditions, I didn't eat. However, the others with me did order. Each person ordered their own food at the counter. Servers then brought each order as it was completed. It worked great!”

“I came in 22 July, just minutes before they closed. The staff made me two BEAUTIFUL salads, and made it clear I could have it my way. I asked for a few extra vegetables and they just threw them on, no questions asked. Even the gentleman moping the floor gave me a big welcome as I entered the store. All smiles with this crew, and it was clear I was gonna be happy whatever it took. GREAT service, outstanding attitude, very good food, 5/5 stars in my book! Thank you for making me feel so welcome when I come in at the last minute. I left very happy!”

“This is a strictly take out/ delivery place so there is no dine in option. The storefront is purely functional and serves as semi storage for restaurant materials. That said, the food is good. I had a bad experience here maybe 12 years ago but it has clearly changed ownership and chefs since then. The food here is SOLID for that nostalgic American Chinese food! The hot and sour soup is epitome of what it should be (I was raised in my parents’ Chinese restaurants so I know) and the fried wing appetizers are terrific. My kids are obsessed. We also always get General Tso’s Chicken which every kid loves. I’ve also enjoyed Singapore noodles and Indonesian fried chicken ice here. Super glad to have a decent Chinese takeout in my neighborhood!”

“This store is our favorite Caribou!! They consistently make their coffee drinks with perfect balance of flavor and richness!! Most other coffee brands taste weak, bitter or burnt. We grew up with Caribou in Minnesota and years ago moved to Denver. Now the caribous in Denver are gone so we are Caribou starved. We come back to Minnesota every two months or so to get our fix of great coffee.
Of all the stores we’ve been to in Minnesota this one is tops!!”

“A friend and I visited this Perkins in Golden Valley since we’re now 56 and had never ordered off the 55+ menu.

I ordered the chicken fried steak off the 55+ menu, which includes two sides. Had the fruit cup and buttered corn. Chicken fried steak was great. All the fruit except the few grapes tasted good, and the corn was spot on.

We also grew up a mile from this location, so it was fun to visit.”

“The only reason this is not five stars is the rude woman that handled and handed me my order. I try to be the nicest and softest speaking I can to fast food workers as I know they deal with some really poor mannered people throughout the day. So I go about ordering as usual and she was basically just rude and short with me not even a here’s your food. Just closed the window after handing it to me. I hope that this is not a common occurrence. She would not be working at my store…”
