“Good service even though there was a breakfast rush. Nice atmosphere. Average food at best. We had a Denver omelet and Belgian waffle. Omelet was ok but the cook left out the ham. The waffles were below par, hard and served barely warm (butter wouldn’t melt on them).“

“We were up visiting from the TC area. Great time to get away from the city. Stopped at this cute little spot with an amazing view. Service was amazing. Food was even better. We enjoyed the lake trout and the pasta and salad. The vinaigrette dressing was the best we’ve ever had. We also really enjoyed the salmon chowder. Little bland for flavor on the chowder, but was nice and hearty. Just feedback, not a complaint. Friendly staff and open kitchen, so you can see what’s going on. Loved the setup.“

“Stopped here for breakfast - excellent pancakes and the hash browns were absolutely delicious. The Trail Center is always a go-to when we’re in the Grand Marais area. Worth the beautiful drive up the Gunflint Trail! Very cute gift shop as well!“
