“My little brother says this Applebee's in specific has his favorite chicken wings ever lol. However my personal fave is Applebee's classic cheeseburgers & French fries! However I was a bit let down with my order from here, I ordered my favorite meal, obviously. & not only was the burger not cooked the way I asked for it to be (medium well) but it was under cooked which is never a good thing. I took one bite & unfortunately spit it out due to how pink it was still.. the fries were UNSEASONED (the seasoning on the fries is literally why i love them so much.) and were cold and slightly soggy...? I've eaten here over a year before this experience and back then I had a wonderful time, but this time at least as far as the actual food went was not a good time at all. But i will say the host that bagged and rang up my order was very kind. I enjoyed speaking with her. the only other thing Id like to say is there really should to be more standing room for customers when waiting for a table, paying for their meals, etc. The area they currently have I personally don't think is even big enough for 2 full booths. For instance i am 5ft tall and i was attempting to stand there with 3 other men, all whom were about average height/ maybe slightly shorter and to be completely honest it was so cramped that we were all touching shoulders... just made it very uncomfortable overall while waiting for my food/waiting to pay. Overall though this specific Applebee's franchise is alright. I just know of a few other locations that I personally prefer.“

Their fried pickle chips are awesome, wings great even sauceless (got dipping sauces on side), walleye fries were great, the only thing we were so so on were the nachos. “5 stars is not nearly enough stars for this place. I have celiac disease (severe wheat/gluten allergy) and when I saw gluten free cheese curds and gluten free fried pickles on the menu, I about cried. I haven’t had cheese curds or fried pickles at a sports bar since I was diagnosed 11 years ago. Their food is absolutely incredible- something you normally wouldn’t expect from a place like this. I’m so grateful to whoever created the menu!

“When I eat I drink Bloody Mary's they just taste better with my food if I feel like a drink, let me tell you I had a very reasonable priced Bloody Mary and it was on Point I could taste everything in the drink a first for me and it had all the fixings as well, I appreciated that. They also have a place too eat Pop's and Son grill I ordered 4 wings and a brisket topped Baked potato I asked for my wings hard didn't get that but they tasted ok and the brisket was not a lot but also good I didn't bring my wings back because they seemed real busy they brought me someone else's food at first them my order and I appreciated Who I assume was Pop came and talked to his customer's checking on them and their food they gave us A 1 service I work in kitchen's and understand things happen sometimes it's how you react to the situation and after that matters the most and they gave the all. I will try them again because they food is good, and they fact they was busy, busy so that let me know a lil sum People like they food I was also asking people in the line about food and if they been here before and I got more yes than no and good food I heard ok Pop and Sons I'll be back..the bar also had karaoke A good time was had Thanks Cheers“

But the best part, hands down, which is why I'm leaving this review 3 years later is bc Bob's steak sandwich (should be Bob's FAMOUS steak sandwich) was THE F’N BEST sandwich my son and I have ever had - to date! If fact, 3 years later and my son is still talking about Bob's steak sandwich being the best food he's ever eaten! So much so that for his birthday in a few weeks, he doesn't want a party or gifts, just to take a trip to the cities for his favorite dinner!“

“A classic Saint Paul neighborhood bar, with simple grub yet so affordable, a mix of Asian and American. All served as takeaway but you can eat it there if you want and the portions are gigantic. There's bingo two nights a week, a Friday afternoon meat raffle, and pulltabs/etabs. Locals are the majority of the clientele but for all its grittiness, it's a safe place with patrons who care about the establishment! Watch out for the parking lot. It's a dirt lot minefield of potholes that will destroy your transmission of you go faster than 1 mph.“

“I love this bar, I come in and spend money all the time. I buy drinks for people and always tip the bartenders and servers. Today I came in looking to conserve money because I’m getting hit with school loans. I ask the bartenders if I could just tip a dollar and hang out and he says no. I ask my buddy Dave if he can cover a soda but he’s tapped. So I oblige and go to my wallet and pull out a 5 to pay for a half order of fries. The bartender denies me service and accuses me of getting the money from bar partrons. This is MY money that I earned and here I am willing to spend it in order to follow their rules of no hanging out without spending money.

This man damn near lost me as a customer. I’ve spend hundreds of dollars at this establishment over the last few months.

I still think this is a great bar and the other staff are fantastic, the food is great and people are generally friendly( as friendly as Minnesota can be).

This bartender will never receive a tip From me again. Pissed off that I’ve tipped him in the past.
I just played pull tabs since he literally denied me service.

“We came here allot when they first opened in 2012. We spent the first 2 years as regulars here. Then… we came here twice in a row and they burnt our food to the point of being inedible. “For an Applebee's chain restaurant, this one is a good location. The server was a bit slow (he was also the bartender and there was only the one other server when we came in), but he was friendly and kind and accommodating. What surprised me was the food. Last time I was in an Applebee's it was all a bit... Sterile tasting. This was actually tasty. The fiesta lime chicken was tender, not overcooked as I was expecting. The rice was flavorful and (thankfully) did not contain corn. The chicken parm fettuccine was fresh and flavorful. The drinks were my favorite. I had a watermelon lime rush, which is one of my favorite combinations of flavors, and it was so refreshing and lively and went perfect with the food.“
