“First, I have never eaten Filipino food before. I read their website and saw it was sweet and savory instead of spicy, which is perfect. I am not a spicy girl. When I arrived with my mother, we were immediately greeted by the owner. She took our orders and then we sat down. A few minutes later, her husband stopped by with our drink (halo halo) and explained how to stir it to blend all the flavors together.
Overall, it was a wonderful, friendly experience. The food was phenomenal and reasonably priced, the restaurant was decorated superbly, and the owners were amazing. I definitely plan on returning in the future.”

“Stopped in for a late lunch on the patio. Was interested in a bitters & soda and the server recommended mixing the rhubarb and cardamom, which was delicious and refreshing. Followed that with the Chix Correa sandwich and a side salad. Wow! Really creative flavors and well-executed. Could tell everything was made from scratch and with high quality ingredients and care. Also the decor was fun and hip, the music top-notch, and the staff kind. I look forward to coming back soon!”

I’ve only been once, but wow, low lighting, a little moody, very date-night energy. Whether it’s a first date or you’ve been together forever, it just works. It’s cozy, a little sexy, and feels intentional without trying too hard. Service is always on point, you’ll even catch the manager making rounds, which says a lot. And the food? My go-to is the lobster roll (don’t overthink it, just order it). Also… prepare yourself for the desserts. When they say “to share,” they mean with your entire table… and possibly the table next to you. These things are massive. Cocktails are another win. I’m loyal to the Godfather,Scotch whiskey with amaretto, and I get it up instead of on ice. Smooth, strong, and exactly what I want every time. “So, I’ve had unpredictable bouts of constipation throughout my life. I remember receiving enemas that were meant for elderly individuals when I was 8 or 9. When I attended this restaurant, I haven’t had a bowel movement in around 2-3 days. Previously before that I required stimulant laxatives, which creates muscle contractions to force waste out of your anus. I tried a basic cheeseburger with a side of fries, and a raspberry peach iced tea. As soon as I finished my meal, I felt it. The rumbling that signals such an impending cloud of doom in your stomach, causing your heart to metaphorically drop 50 feet from my chest. I drove home, as I didn’t feel it appropriate to require Perkins to call in a biohazard crew to wall off the women’s restroom. Immediately I rushed down to the toilet, and unleashed hell. 3 days worth of regularly eaten-and-digested goodness exploded out of my bottom like a flood gate- It was indescribable the stench, it could probably harm a small child. Like not normal fecal matter, something radioactive and potent enough to kill a rodent. It was half liquid and half solid as it endlessly exited it’s swollen, dark tomb. I have never felt such relief, and from the most unlikely of places. Thank you, Perkins. May our stars cross again someday when I need to take a giant gorilla dump.”

Shortly after, the owner comes over and offers us a free pizza—which was pretty awesome in itself. But what really pulled on my heartstrings was listening to him describe the amount of thought and heart he puts into the food. He explained the exceptional process he uses to create gut-healthy bread, sauces made fresh daily, and other natural ingredients—without all the processing we’ve grown to hate. I told him it felt like the scene from Ratatouille where the mouse combines all the flavors and everything bursts into color. It really was that good. You can taste the quality in every bite. But more than the pizza, I could tell the owner himself is exceptional.
