The rice and beans are SO weird. The only option they have for rice is this sweet rice that tastes like dessert 🤢 and the refried beans are flavored - they taste just like Taco Bell. The service is T E R R I B L E. My fam and I were put on a waitlist the night of 5/3/25 by a blonde gal. We waited for 20 minutes, never got a text, so we went to talk to her and she'd clearly forgotten we were on the list. So we called ahead to get a table and they took our name and number down. Then when we get to the restaurant we are told they don’t do that but had our name and number on the note book for everybody to see. The manager was lot very accommodating. She just kept saying we don’t do that but she could see our information on the note book. The tacos are delish and the carnitas tacos are wonderful. The chips are super light and crispy and a delight. The salsa has a nice kick due to pepper, adding to the overall flavor. Don't miss out on the cheese sauce for enchiladas and the smooth, creamy rice. The fresh guacamole and sweet rice are must-tries. There are vegan options, like impossible meat and mixed veggie tacos. Rojo is a nice place for hanging out with friends and family, making it perfect for casual dining. The service is amazing, personable, kind, and extremely attentive. The outside seating is enjoyable in the summer, although it can get noisy due to passing cars. While it may not be ideal for a first date, it is definitely a great spot for outings with friends and coworkers. Parking is easy nearby, and the atmosphere is nice enough to spend time in.
