Currently sad about the loss of the buckwheat chocolate chip cookie, which is in my top two favorite cookies of all time. My 11 year old daughter called it her favorite. Our little family of 4 has been going to Farmer’s Kitchen for years. My 11 year old always ordered a buckwheat chocolate chip cookie and a lemonade. We had reservations before a show at the Guthrie. We placed drink and dinner orders. Tables seated 30 minutes after us received food before a second waiter came and asked for our order again. On top of poor service, the food was not good. We asked and were told no tomaoes on this sandwich. The shore lunch came with tomatoes and was 50% breading. The beef sandwich was dry - not fresh. Both sandwiches came with store-bought tortilla chips.
After putting our name down and waiting 10 minutes (we were told 5), we were seated at a no-service table with menus, told to order both our bar drinks and food at the counter, and left to fend for ourselves. At the counter, after standing in line, we had to pay not only for our order but also a $23.00 service charge, in advance. I then poured and served our family glasses of water myself and we waited.
