The Funky Grits was good, but didn’t exceed my expectations. I’m from the south so I grew up around grits. I enjoyed the ambiance and the service was great, but I didn’t feel the authenticity of where making grits originated...the South. I ordered the Acadian ...pretty much shrimp ‘n’ grits. The presentation was excellent, but the taste fell a little short. Price range was $11-13/bowl which is little pricey considering grits are pretty cheap. Small venue, down to earth. Oldies Motown music. I enjoyed the flavorful shrimp and grits (Arcadian). There may be a bit of slow service because of small staff, but they are very friendly. Give them a try. Ps. They do a brunch buffet, call for details and times.

Wow! Good grits are hard to find up here, but these were amazing! I had the Funky Benedict with a side of cheddar grits, and was not disappointed. The ham was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and fried crisp on the edges. The English muffin was also put on the griddle to crisp it up. Absolutely delicious!
