Food was fresh, appetizers were hot and tasty, vegetables were crisp and delicious, and the Szechuan soup base was approachable spicy- they didn't hold back on the numbing spice, thankfully. A wonderful place to go for a hotpot meal with a staff that clearly cares about serving top-quality meals.“

“Came to Minnesota on vacation and looked for a Vietnamese restaurant. We had two types of spring rolls and the banh mi. Both were delicious and fresh and the service was prompt and personal. Highly recommend if looking for Vietnamese food in the area!“

“Edit: They renovated, and I love the new, bigger interior! I tried banh canh cua (crab udon) and it was delicious. Service was a little slow but maybe because they reopened recently. Will come back to try other dishes.

Tiny restaurant with authentic vibe. I tried the bun bo hue, and it was not bad but I’ve had better in the city. I would go here for a quick fix to my vietnamese food cravings because of the location convenience.“

“Had a couple of meetings today then lunch with a dear friend. The owner of @lotusminneapolis noticed I wasn’t feeling too well. I mentioned I was suffering with post concussion headaches & was in pain since yesterday. He immediately went and got me hot tea and broth complimentary. It’s been a long time since I have experienced such genuine concern & care at a restaurant. Big up to this amazing establishment. “My party was all from out of town/state, and none of us had eaten at this establishment before tonight. I don't think making reservations is necessary, but we did call ahead of time to make one. Because of this, they had our phone number. With the terrible weather, they called us to check if we were still coming. They stayed open just for us, otherwise they would've closed the restaurant early.

Everyone was very friendly and accommodating, and gave us good explanations to our questions about different menu items. The fried rice was just okay, but the pho, banh mi, rice vermicelli bowls, and the grilled pork chop broken rice platter were all phenomenal. Their fish sauce is the best I've had at any Vietnamese restaurant. The Vietnamese egg rolls were good. Our dishes were fresh, flavorful, and nicely presented.

We hope to return when we visit Minneapolis again, and we will definitely be recommending this restaurant to our friends and family in the area!!“

“This is the first time my wife and I have visited Saigon Uptown, and we were extremely impressed. They have amazing food that is served and prepared by wonderfully friendly people. We would highly recommend the Pork Egg Rolls, the Pho (I had the Pho with beef, filet mignon and meatballs), and the banh mi.“

“Top notch food here, it's almost a crime to add anything else into the broth of their pho. This place is a gem for sure, it's one of my favorites.. the cream cheese wontons are some of the best around town. The lighting is soft, it's usually occupied but when it's not it's definitely a vibe and the staff here is extremely hospitable and kind. Almost anything we've ever requested has been granted to us here.“

“Trung was very easy to work with for our event where we had Pham's Rice Bowl cater. It was easy to communicate and order the dishes, which were very delicious. The cheese wontons were a hit for our group. We had dietary restrictions for certain dishes and Trung was very accommodating, as well. Great affordable caterer!“
