Terrible customer service - rude workers at every single location. Would not recommend for a special event

I was disappointed in the cake jars I received through DoorDash. They were dry, and weren’t what I expected at all. I wouldn’t order again. For the price I would think you’d get more cake but you get a tiny little jar. For $12? Not worth it. Waste of money.

I love this place for cake! If you want amazing cake that is not overly sweet, this is the place. I have bought cakes from here many times and will continue to buy cakes here for special occasions. I also ordered my wedding cake here back in 2022. We chose Bailey’s Irish Cream and Neapolitan. One of the flavor I also love is Strawberry ala Ritz. Trust me, it’s worth the money. You really get what you pay for here!

My mother and grandmother went into the Wayzata location to find a wedding cake for my sister. As it was their job to find one for her of her liking and purchase it. They went in to an old cigarette drenched man who was beyond rude with them. They were asking questions and he’d come back with snide remarks. They asked to taste something and he said if the bride comes in she can get a cupcake. His rudeness, and presentation was enough to make them walk out the door and lose business. I was tempted to go in and talk to him myself about how rude he was to them, but had to work. I’m still tempted to go in tomorrow. Unacceptable Behavior from a business.

Didn’t show up for work because it snowed on the day I was supposed to pick up my cake. Didn’t call and tell me he wouldn’t be there, available for pick up on a Thursday. I drove 2 hours round trip to find out they were closed due to 3 inches of snow.

Ordered my wedding cake from this company as my sister did the same and I'm so glad I did! Same experience with an efficient consultation, delicious samples and a lot of options to choose from. My husband got to choose which style and we chose dots to match the pearls on my dress. The ribbon is from the company but I bought some faux flowers off of Amazon that they also decorated for me the day of. We chose the strawberry lemon flavor ( my husbands choice ) as I'm not much of a dessert person. However, if I chose, I would've went with the chocolate which was VERY delicious 👀❤️.

We ordered our wedding cake from Buttercream. The tasting was great. There were so many good choices that it was hard to choose which two for our cake. The Minnetonka location is a bit small. They also offer a coupon to get a cake on your 1st anniversary. They do not use artificial dyes in any of their cakes. We wanted some red on our cake so we added red handpainted flowers to the cake. It was beautifully done! The price was very reasonable for the quality you get. Our wedding guests really loved the cake and it turned out beautiful.

Unfortunately our wedding cake looked nothing like what we asked for. Customer service could not be any more disorganized as just 2 weeks before the wedding they had no clue what flavor or design we wanted when we had already communicated that. Super sad to spend so much money on a cake and have it be the most disappointing thing on the big day. It was sweating, coming apart and the lines were very uneven. Would not recommend using for wedding cake services.

The gentleman that helped me in Minnetonka was very polite, this is nothing against him. I was told to let the cupcakes defrost before eating since they came out of the freezer. I drove back, which was a 45 minute drive. They sat in the fridge after that. When I opened them, there was mold on the raspberry cupcake. I sent an email, and never heard a single response. It’s now been about a month. I feel in love with their cake that I had at a wedding, and was beyond disappointed with this experience.

We used Buttercream for our wedding at Machine Shop and they were a hit! I loved them at our tasting and it was even better at the wedding. We chose to do a two tiered smaller cake with a simple design for our bridal party and cupcakes (4 flavors) for our guests and everyone was so pleased. I must admit I missed the desserts at the wedding but did sample a few bites from some of my girlfriends plates. Might have to order more on our anniversary! Thank you Buttercream!
