“I didn't have any food. Loved the bar tenders. Jesus Christ. This one girl almost got everything I had. That atmosphere was cool, friendly. I preferred that night. The dj had some kind of miscommunication. Everything felt a little out of order as far as djing goes. The music sound system was phenomenal. The drinks were a little expensive for me. I'm talking $15 to $17 a cup no matter what u got. Didn't like that but for my first experience I got to give it a 9/10. I walked out with my drink by mistake, that to me was a bonus. It was a big ass club too. Not bad for Fargo.“

“Real good dive, the stumplifter is a great cocktail. Like the daily specials and all the little things they have that tie the bow in this place. Mug nite is a good touch too. Good unassuming place with a super friendly staff. My one compliant is everytime I've gone through the offsale is that there's always the strangest people inside or around the area. That being said, it's not at the fault if Chub's, it's a weird part of town after all. Anyway they were playing Casino on TV and I saw Tua get his 3rd or 4th concussion here so I whole-heartedly recommend Chub's!

“It was our first time visiting a JLB location and we were very pleased by the time we left! Even during the supper rush, the atmosphere was cozy, the employees we interacted with were friendly and helped us feel welcome. The timing from sitting down to ordering our food was acceptable for how busy the waitress was, allowing us time to thoroughly figure out what we wanted to try. The Bacon Jam burger I got with fries was delicious! I normally don't like onions, but I honestly devoured the burger with a handful of onions on it, as they were just the right level of flavor where they were subtle yet added to the overall flavor. Fries were nice and crispy, no soggy or over-done ones to be found. We also got the Root Beer Float and the current flight of beer-tasters, so it was fun to try what they had today and have something smooth to wash everything down. It was VERY worth the money spent, since they also can sell the 5oz flight glasses, as long as they have enough in stock, so we were able to purchase some for at home. Overall, a wonderful first experience here and we look forward to returning in the future! (Picture added during second visit :D )

“The soft pretzels were served nicely. They give plenty of cheese questions sauce with it. The cheese curds had a really big amount it was kind of salty but it was still good to enjoy. There was leftovers for me . I thank the waitress that served me at my table. She was very helpful and also knew all about the menu with any questions that I had. Thank you.“

“First time visiting this restaurant and I loved it. The decor is really cute and modern and there is great art up on the walls. There is also a cute photo wall! We went for lunch and I ordered El Tres off the lunch menu. It was delicious. I also thought there was a ton of food for a really reasonable price. The staff were all friendly. There was a guacamole station that could make fresh guac at your table. We didn't try this, but I plan to in the future.“

“Definition of what one would consider a dive bar. That title is only accurate when describing the low number of patrons and dark corners throughout the interior booths. Service was friendly and prompt. Easy to strike up a casual conversation with the gals working. The ratio of server to patron allows for drinks to flow continually. Employees whom one can see enjoy performing. Some may go as far as to call Specks Bar, a hidden gem.

Parking: Easy to find a spot as Specks bar has a couple hundred yard area on the backside which extends to the rainroad“

“I was in for lunch on Saturday. Place looks great. The food was tasty, their fries are really on point, maybe the best in town. Molly the bartender was great. She had a good rapport with her customers and did a good job of checking in with everyone despite being the only person there. It kinda felt like what I would imagine a modern version of Cheers would be, which is not something you would expect from a hotel bar.“

“I love coming here, free arcade games, stiff drinks. But the last few times we've come out the sign says open, but the doors are locked. Whyyyyyyy???? This is my favorite spot. At least turn off the open sign if you're not open, or update the hours.“

“I wanted to take the time to tell you what a great experience we had last night! The service from the bartender and manager on shift last night was top notch! Both were extremely knowledgeable about the menu and beers offered on tap. We sampled a few items from the tap and found some new favorites! The bartender made me a pickle martini after I expressed how much I loved pickles! Food was great, drinks were delicious and the service was excellent! It’s so refreshing to meet people who love what they do! We will be back our next trip to Fargo for sure!“

“The Local 701 Bar did an awesome job for my husbands 50th Birthday party. The staff was amazing and so great to work with prior and the night of the party. “Quintessential dive bar. However, whereas some dive bars are filled with xenophobic locals, this bar warmly welcomed these two outsiders. Has everything a dive bar needs. Virtually no windows. Dark atmosphere. Old bar. And good beer selection at cheap prices. If you look up dive bar in a dictionary, they could have a picture of Duffy’s.“

“Cowboy Jacks was such a good addition to the downtown area. It's nice to see how much work they put into their country style atmosphere, with the decorations and tables. I love the happy hour special, which is daily for half off apps and $'s off beer and typically make it in once a week. Staff is always very friendly and goes above & beyond to remember your drinks if they see you enough.“

“Me and my girlfriend came out tonight (on a Saturday night) after waiting 30/45 min at a Applebees with no sign of seeing a table…walked in to be greeted right away by a hostess and was seated right away. Food was AMAZING staff was as friendly as they come greeting us as we walked in and telling us to have a good night on our way out. “My wife and I came here Saturday evening. As usual I was impressed with the atmosphere of Granite City. It has a nice upscale modern feel too it. We were seated quickly, where in the past even during slower times we have had to wait a little bit. After being seated our drink orders were taken quickly and I was happy to see they had an Octoberfest Menu. I ordered Spaezle (Pasta) with a Pork Schnitzel. My wife ordered the pot roast. The presentation of the food was very professional. The taste however of both our meals were overpowered with salt. It was not enough to return the meal but it was enough to make a comment to our waitress in hopes this is passed on to the kitchen.
Overall our experience this trip was nice and pleasant. The prices are fair and what one would expect.“
