I came with a friend to Fargo from Atlanta for a weekend visit and had hopeful expectations for this place. My expectations were exceeded beyond my wildest dreams. Zach and Savannah were the most welcoming, kind, and fun bartenders / managers I may have ever come across, and the overall environment of Chub's is something I still think about since my visit.

There's a lot to do in Fargo (we hit around 25 bars within 3 days)(it was St. Patrick's Day don't judge), but I can easily say Chub's was my favorite.

I'd love to come back again sometime. Next time I'm in Fargo, Chub's Pub will be my first stop off the plane.“

“Definition of what one would consider a dive bar. That title is only accurate when describing the low number of patrons and dark corners throughout the interior booths. Service was friendly and prompt. Easy to strike up a casual conversation with the gals working. The ratio of server to patron allows for drinks to flow continually. Employees whom one can see enjoy performing. Some may go as far as to call Specks Bar, a hidden gem.

Parking: Easy to find a spot as Specks bar has a couple hundred yard area on the backside which extends to the rainroad“

“One of the best Mexican restaurants in the Fargo area. This is actually real Mexican food not Midwest Mexican. Lots of flavors, fresh seafood and we'll seasoned meats. Great drink selection to pair with the food. Highly recommend the table side guacamole to go with every meal.“

“I was in for lunch on Saturday. Place looks great. The food was tasty, their fries are really on point, maybe the best in town. Molly the bartender was great. She had a good rapport with her customers and did a good job of checking in with everyone despite being the only person there. It kinda felt like what I would imagine a modern version of Cheers would be, which is not something you would expect from a hotel bar.“

Dark atmosphere. Old bar. And good beer selection at cheap prices. If you look up dive bar in a dictionary, they could have a picture of Duffy’s.“

“I wanted to take the time to tell you what a great experience we had last night! The service from the bartender and manager on shift last night was top notch! Both were extremely knowledgeable about the menu and beers offered on tap. We sampled a few items from the tap and found some new favorites! The bartender made me a pickle martini after I expressed how much I loved pickles! Food was great, drinks were delicious and the service was excellent! It’s so refreshing to meet people who love what they do! We will be back our next trip to Fargo for sure!“

“Me and my girlfriend came out tonight (on a Saturday night) after waiting 30/45 min at a Applebees with no sign of seeing a table…walked in to be greeted right away by a hostess and was seated right away. Food was AMAZING staff was as friendly as they come greeting us as we walked in and telling us to have a good night on our way out. Food was 🔥 🔥 10/10 from the Stars ⭐️ we will be back out for more BBQ for sure!“

“I walked into Cowboy Jack’s fully expecting a record scratch and every head in the saloon to turn. Half thought someone would slide a whiskey down the bar and ask what trouble I was bringin’ to town.
The vibe is pure modern frontier. Loud, lively, boots-on-the-floor energy with enough TVs to make it clear this is where cowboys now settle disputes with fantasy football stats instead of six-shooters. Music’s bumpin’, drinks are flowin’, and the crowd feels like a mix of ranch hands, college kids, and folks who definitely say “one more round” at least twice.
Food hits like trail rations upgraded by civilization. Drinks come strong enough to make you believe you could win a bar fight or at least confidently explain how you almost bought land in Montana.
No tumbleweeds, no duels at high noon, but if the Old West had Wi-Fi, big screens, and cold beer on tap, this would be it. Saddle up. 🍻🐎“

“I want to send a massive thank you to the staff and management of Fargo Billiards & Gastropub ! They hosted us for Tim Green 60th Birthday party / Connor Hanson send off. Every single staff member was swamped as there were at least 100 people in there for pool league as well as our parties. NOT one of them complained and they were all busting butt to make our night so perfect! At the end of the night they comped the party room to honor Connor and our beloved soldiers. That kind of generosity and moral good is still out there folks! We will NEVER use anyone else for our parties and we are now going to make a point of frequent visits to our favorite place in Fargo! Thanks again to you all for coming out and thank you even bigger to the best staff of anywhere in Fargo!“

“They have live, local bands quite often. The atmosphere is very enjoyable if you can handle a little bit of a crowd and higher levels of noise. Staff is on top of things and quick to serve you . Outdoor patio for those who smoke . Had a great time while we visited. Crowd ranged from college aged students to older adults. The vibe is for everyone. They also have gaming along side the wonderful entertainment of live music!“

“My husband, toddler, and I were looking for a good spot to eat tonight. We stopped into Petro to check out one of their spots to eat. We decided to stop into Dolly Down, and are so glad we did! We really weren't sure what to expect at first, but ended up absolutely loving this place! The food was fantastic. They serve breakfast all day, so I ordered a full biscuits and gravy, my husband ordered an omelet and some French toast, and we got mini corn dogs with fries for our little one. The fries were so crispy and delicious, some of the best fries I've had in Fargo. Our toddler LOVED everything she got. She didn't waste a single bite! Husband said omelet and French toast was incredible. The biscuits and gravy was such a large portion! Very tasty, and I ordered some great hash browns on the side. Everything was cooked really well, we enjoyed everything we ordered! Our server was so nice and friendly. She was on top of everything! We never had an empty cup, and she made sure to check in on us often. She was the only one running the front, and she still took time to walk with everyone there. Her name is Sherry (sorry if I spelled it wrong). She was awesome. Thank you for your kind service! And lastly, the prices were really affordable. We will gladly come back and visit in the near future.“
