“My husband & I stopped in at "The Shack" after an appointment. We had never been there before but it was recomended by a staff member at the clinic. The place was super cute and the waitress was great. My food was amazing! Best omlette Ive ever had! However, my husband ordered the, Corned Beef & Hash. Its not something you see on a menu very often & he was excited about it. Unfortunitly, he said it was aweful and he couldn't even eat it... I'd suggest they just take that off the menu. Its a total miss, everything about it was wrong.But other than that it is a cute place, prices are super cheap, & coffee was good. (Finding good coffee has been difficult for us)We would go back again!“

If you're ever in Fargo and can't decide what to eat..Kroll's is your go to!I don't remember the names of the soup & meal I ordered because it's off their German menu, however both were exceptional. The yellow soup with potato, chicken and dumplings is highly recommended. The entree I ordered almost looked like a Jamacian beef patty but tasted like a delicious fried Salisbury steak. Mash potatoes on the side, basic potatoes but still had flavor.Love the ambience and feel of this old school diner. Great meal and great experience!“

The service is also pretty top notch and they'll make sure your glass is filled. The front and back of the place are very different from one another and I'm sure this is intentional. Either way a good pit stop or a good place to spend Friday night right by campus. “I have a dairy allergy as well as a gluten allergy and this is one of my favorite restaurants to go to in the Fargo area that has amazing gluten-free food. I highly suggest ! My favorite sauce is the honey mustard it is simply awesome! If you request ketchup for a side when you order online and it’s $.75 sometimes you’ll get a cup with actually ketchup in it other times you get charged $.75 for three packets of ketchup, which I think is highway robbery, so that is something that I think that they need to update on the menu so if you’re not gonna give the cup of ketchup for $.75 then you shouldn’t be charging for three packets of ketchup.“

“After searching Tripadvisor on our weekend in Fargo, I came across this great little local place and we decided to try it. It was the best decision we made. A beautiful quaint little restaurant run by a woman who makes everything from scratch. I believe the lady helping was her mom but I’m not sure. She was wonderful. You order at the table when you walk in then you sit down at a table. My daughter ordered the Big Chicken Salad and I had the CBR wrap with chicken noodle soup. Everything was absolutely delicious and huge portions. The picture I attached is the Big Chicken Salad. We actually laughed out loud when it came, it was the biggest salad we’d ever seen. Everything was so fresh. We were sad they were closed the following day as we really wanted to go back before leaving Fargo. I would highly highly recommend this place. We can’t wait to go back to Fargo.“

The prices are not under a budget category per say, however, there certainly seems to be an attention to detail and aspect of quality to the food that justifies the cost. If you want a bad chicken sandwich for less money, go elsewhere. My food was made very well and very quickly. I will be back.“

“My first (and maybe last time) in Fargo, ND. The basketball team was in North dakota for the second game of our 5 day road trip. and after a 4:00AM wake up call and no breakfast, the team was hungry. we were served by a very friendly staff that didn't look that much older than us. they were quick to serve us and always asked checked in. As far as the food goes, I was a bit unsure what to order but opted for the bacon chicken ranch wrap and it was fantastic. perfect mix of chicken, crispy bacon, cheese and dressing all wrapped tightly in a warm tortilla. it also came with a side of fries and those were cooked perfectly. crispy with the right amount of seasoning. Overall, extremely happy with the meal and i would love to try so many other things including any of the burgers and maybe the burnt ends nachos“
