“I got G20. Grilled pork platter. Savory, flavorful and textured in all the right ways. In disbelief that it's vegan. Portions are huge. Husband got the pad thai - it's everything you'd want in a pad thai, including that wok grill flavor. Food came out fast. Really comfortable atmosphere. Family friendly. Great service.“

“Fantastic place! The coconut broth was the best I ever had in a hot pot place. Every item and sauces are cooked from scratch and it shows! It was my daughter’s birthday and everything was closed, we were so lucky to find this place through Reddit forum. The owner was also very kind and pleasant to us. 5 stars!! And coming back!“

“Came to Minnesota on vacation and looked for a Vietnamese restaurant. We had two types of spring rolls and the banh mi. Both were delicious and fresh and the service was prompt and personal. Highly recommend if looking for Vietnamese food in the area!“

“This is the first time my wife and I have visited Saigon Uptown, and we were extremely impressed. They have amazing food that is served and prepared by wonderfully friendly people. We would highly recommend the Pork Egg Rolls, the Pho (I had the Pho with beef, filet mignon and meatballs), and the banh mi.“

“One of my favorite spots in Minneapolis! I eat here a few times a month (minimum) and every single time it is delicious. The consistency, quality, and taste are top notch. My favorite is the sesame chicken combo and when I tell you IT HITS EVERY TIME 100/10. Fabulous sized portions and so reasonably priced- I spend $15 and feed myself for two meals. Staff is so kind and attentive. The restaurant is always clean and welcoming. I couldn’t say enough nice things about this place. Egg rolls are incredible incredible incredible also plus the sauce it comes with.“

“Don't usually give out 5s but this pho is top 2 for me in MN. Service was great this time there. Had to wait on a table but they were really busting to get us in and apologized. “Mandarin has quickly become one of my favorite spots for great Vietnamese and Chinese dishes. Their pho broth is perfectly spiced and absolutely delicious. The bun vermicelli noodle salad with pork meatballs and egg roll is refreshing and so tasty. A couple other excellent choices have been the Szechuan pork and the beef chow fun. Definitely give the pork egg rolls a try. The employees there are hard working, the perfect amount of attentive and very friendly. It’s definitely a hidden hole in the wall gem with excellent food and very friendly staff.“

“This place has still got it. Very hole-in-the-wall vibes, but the pho is the best I've found in Minneapolis and the burbs. Bun with pork and spring rolls (#46) is also very good, and don't sleep on the VN Wings! They are not an appetizer as much as they are a hearty side. The flavor is intensely good, so if you have a sensitive pallete, they may be too much for you.
The owner is kind and helpful, and the rest of the family is pretty great, too.
The Vietnamese side of the menu is really where they shine, so pass on your orange chicken and get some pho or something.“
