“Great food. Two of us are a good meal for $32. Not terrible prices for something different to eat. The girl taking orders tonight was very friendly and knowledgeable. Quick service too. Not even a 10 minute wait on a to go order. Keep up the great work.“

“The donburi was fantastic, great serving size and flavor was on point. Ramen was about average, wasn't super impressed, but not disappointed. The two appetizers we had were good as well, maybe a little overpriced for the serving size, but as advertised.“

“Went for our anniversary. Absolutely loved it. Servers were all personable and knew the menu. The sushi was great, my bourbon 7's were perfect. My wife had their Yuzu whiskey sour which she says was the best drink she's ever had (and we've been married 28 years). I knew going in I was going to need to stock up the checkbook. Zero buyers remorse. Will definitely return.“

“I'm visiting a friend here in St. Paul and we decided to get sushi before the Pitbull trilogy concert and we walked over to Sakura. First off the vibe and decor was great, immediately sat and the staff was very attentive. I order gyozas and a shogun bento box. They were fantastic! I was so happy with the quality of the sashimi and the teriyaki beef was sweet and tender. Best bang for the buck! Anytime I come back here I'd wanna eat here again!“

“I ordered the dinner hibachi filet mignon with scallops, spicy snow mountain sushi, and tempura ice cream for dinner. Everything was delicious but there was just one problem. The filet mignon was very tough. It was either very overcooked or not filet mignon at all and a cheap cut of steak was used.“

“Latest Edit:Changing my rating from 2 stars to 4 stars. Looks like Tokyo Sushi is starting to serve their sushi will less rice, much better than my last experience. The service was pretty good too. Only thing is I wish they had just let our guests who were running late also do the lunch, seemed a little pressured to do the dinner. But still, an overall much more positive experience!Old Review:Tend to go here when my wife and I are in the mood for sushi, but today's experience was disappointing.Ordered 2 eel avocado rolls and basically 50% of the roll was densely packed rice. They do this so that you get full on rice and not on fish, not to mention the avocado was basically 2x the size of the eel.Ordered sushi only to find same, densely packed rice and thin pieces of fish. The sashimi was worse the white and red tuna coming out in nickel sizes. You can really see how they penny pinch their customers.Waiters were nice as usual, so I tipped normally, but thought I'd share for others to know.EDIT: Forgot to mention that it is normal for them to put a receipt paper of the order on the sushi, not the sushi plate, on top of your food sushi. That's not sanitary. You won't see it because they usually take it off before giving it to you, but today they forgot..“

“This is a great little gem if you want uncomplicated, quick hibachi. After all, not everyone enjoys having steam fly up into their eyes from the grill (my contacts always seem to dry out). Try the chicken steam buns! They are so delicious, they have a bbq sauce that can't be beat. I also ordered the fried rice with yum yum sauce, and edamame with the mango green tea. The service was fast, the cashier was friendly, and this is a great place for take out. Heads up, they sell bottled water but don't offer it in on tap.“

“Went to celebrate my grandson’s 8-0 football championship! Undefeated! Tokyo Sushi is one of his favorites, so I took the family out for brunch. This was my first time here, and the food was great, and the staff was very attentive! I highly recommend!“

“One of my favorite food places in the mall. The Hibachi service is kinda neat just to watch for what you pay for. Drizzle some Bourbon Chicken on top, I can eat that everyday. Nevermind the Beta Male Karens complaining about wearing masks (NPC/mindless drone) or assumptions about the employees giving them looks...You just get your food and eat it!“

“Located in Woodbury lakes, parking on Main Street can be hard to come by but spots are always available in the back. We called and reserved a spot, otherwise looked like there was a wait time on a weeknight. The bar was surprising full-ish also. The server was great but the hibachi chef was ok with his interactions with the group. The food itself tasted great. We got chicken, steak and shrimp. Portion size was very generous as well. Only reason to ding a star is the nickel and dime-ing that is done at this location. There is hibachi price that is listed on the menu but then you get the bill and find out that rice and noodles cost extra. The refills cost extra. Nothing of which was listed on the menu. Wish they were more upfront regarding their prices.“

“This place has only been open for a little more than a year but it's been a regular spot for me for almost as long. There's a good variety so I can order something different each time, but not so much that it just feels like different combinations of the same few ingredients. Each dish really shines in its own way. Sushi, udon, all three kushiyaki, and their stewed veggies in the bento boxes are my favorites. I have yet to see bad food leave that kitchen, and I've been here probably a dozen times. Staff is always friendly, owner really knows his stuff. It's a modern but cozy atmosphere with bar-style seating right across from the sushi prep.Parking: I've only had trouble finding a spot one time because there was some sort of event at a neighboring store, but even then it meant maybe an extra 30 feet to walk.Kid-friendliness: My son is a *very* picky eater, but he loves the tamago and shrimp nigiri. Owner and staff are always happy to make something for him.“
