We came here for the first time on our 4 year wedding anniversary with our toddler. What a wonderful establishment!
The food and drinks tasted elevated and complex and were at a reasonable price point. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Some highlights include the caulini tempura, the mentaiko maze udon, the scallop temaki, and the black sesame cheesecake from the dessert place next door (which will be opening soon!) My son was SO excited to eat rice (his favorite food) in the shape of a bear and loved his Calpico drink and the red bean fish treat dessert.
Our waiter was nice, but not overbearing. He was very knowledgeable about the menu, gave us informed recommendations, and provided good advice on handling the hand rolls. The place has simple, but classy decor, and a nice large patio. Management was very generous in recognizing our anniversary with a couple of surprises. We felt very taken care of and were glowing with appreciation at the end of our meal.
We feel grateful to have found this gem in the neighborhood which we plan on returning to many times in the future.“

“I needed a treat, and did I ever get one in my bag of takeout tonight from Midori’s Floating World Cafe (in their temporary Seward Cafe location). The dumplings, entrees, and dessert were exquisitely prepared, with flavorful sauces and broths. Glad I splurged on the Daifuku: it was a little work of edible art. This food woke all of my senses for spring. I’ll be back.“

“My husband loves Japanese food and we came here for his birthday. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was really clean and easy. Austin took our order at the counter and was such a nice guy! Marvelous customer service, he really made the evening special. Jim especially loved his eel and I had the ribeye udon. We loved the yuzu shiso Spritz!“

“Wave Sushi has delicious, high-quality, and reasonably priced fare. The atmosphere is friendly and energetic. A colleague recommended Wave to me, and I’m so glad they did. I also absolutely recommend this gem of a lunch (or early dinner) spot!“

“Loved this place! By far the best drunken noodles I've had in Minneapolis, and the sushi servings looked big and really good. I came here with a large group (~12), everyone ordered something different, and each one said their dish was amazing. Hard to find a place that will satisfy everyone, but Bagu definitely does.“

“The sushi was pretty good and reasonably priced. They were generous with the salmon in the salmon roll and Philly roll, and the fish was really good. However, this is a ghost kitchen in a sketchy area. I don't recommend walking from downtown after dark, and definitely avoid Currie Ave. The locker pickup system didn't work that great and I had to wait around for about 10 minutes even though my order was supposed to be ready when I arrived. And the staff are basically hiding in the back...“

“Comfy and simple layout with a fantastic quick option for lunch. I used to go here all the time when I lived in the city because they are super efficient, really kind and the food is great. My go to is the shrimp and shrimp combo but everything I've tried here is good“
