I needed a treat, and did I ever get one in my bag of takeout tonight from Midori’s Floating World Cafe (in their temporary Seward Cafe location). The dumplings, entrees, and dessert were exquisitely prepared, with flavorful sauces and broths. Glad I splurged on the Daifuku: it was a little work of edible art. This food woke all of my senses for spring. I’ll be back.
The new location is a really cute and cozy place, it’s half an art gallery half a restaurant and is run by Midori and her husband and it kind of felt like eating at someone’s house. Was takeout only but they let us eat the food at the tables. Also had a lot of vegetarian options and was very affordable.
The food continues to be top notch quality even at their new location.
