“The restaurant was very busy but the wait was not long, so wait, it is worth it. A busy restaurant means it’s a place we all want to be! The customer service was efficient, wonderful and friendly. We enjoyed the experience as the food was fresh, great price for the great quality! We will definitely return again.“
“A local favorite. They have very cheap and simple options as well as larger, more expensive options as well. We got a mix of 3 chef's specials and a California Roll, all of which were absolutely delicious. Complimentary miso soup ?. Cooked options are available as well for the not as risky.“
“This place is INCREDIBLE. they’ve been open for just a month or so and I’ve eaten there at least 15 to 20 times. The service is awesome, the staff is super friendly, I don’t know about you but great service and friendly staff is part of a good dining experience, and Rollicious has it all. I was there today and am trying the Nori and rice for the first, I’m very excited. I will be back to try some of the other menu items.“
“Sushi Takatsu in Minneapolis offers a delightful dining experience that stands out in the city's culinary scene. From the moment you walk in, the inviting atmosphere sets the stage for an exceptional meal. The sushi here is a real treat, featuring a variety of fresh, flavorful options that cater to both classic and adventurous palates. Each dish is prepared with care, showcasing the chefs' expertise and attention to detail. The staff's friendly and attentive service further enhances the experience, making you feel genuinely welcomed. Whether you're a sushi connoisseur or trying it for the first time, Sushi Takatsu is the perfect spot to enjoy a memorable meal with friends or family. It's a place where the quality of food and the warmth of hospitality come together beautifully.“
“Great sushi, great appetizers. More than a dozen sake options. One thing to be aware of is there really aren't good options for vegetarians/vegans. There is one vegetarian roll. No substitutions are allowed on other rolls/apps so you can't just leave the fish out.“
“I was fortunate enough to experience the Tuesday night 10 course kaiseki seasonal tasting menu. Each course was beautifully presented and presented authentic Japanese tastes and textures that reflected the spring season. The staff were attentive and accommodating. For example, noticing that my wife was left handed her table setting was set up to reflect that. That has happened to her only one other time. A small thing for sure, but reflective of the care and attention to detail that was put into everything. Kado No Mise provides an elegant dining experience from the dinnerware to interior design. I’m already looking forward to my next visit.“
“Highly recommend, the fish was so fresh it almost tasted sweet! I got the eel nigiri and spicy shrimp roll, my boyfriend got the sunshine combo and another eel nigiri. We both left stuffed! The woman behind the counter was working incredibly hard. My sushi cravings —> satisfied. I will be back!Kid-friendliness: There was live music and children dancing.“
“This is a great spot to grab lunch during the work week. I ordered the sushi bowl with shrimp tempura and it was delicious. The servings are quite large so you can easily make two lunches out of it. It can get busy during the lunch hour so just be aware of that.“
“Best sushi experience I’ve had in the Twin Cities since I can remember - and I worked at a sushi place for a while so I have some high standards. The gyoza was amazing and the kaiso salad is my new favorite in the city. Unbelievably tender and perfectly flavored teriyaki chicken with plenty of vegetables and the chicken was unbelievably tender. The sushi platter is probably the best deal on high quality sushi in the cities - great nigiri and rolls. I used to go to Midori’s years ago but have lived across town and just gotten kind of lazy, but after being disappointed by my usual spots, I won’t hesitate to drive a little extra.“
“I had an iconic experience at the restaurant yesterday. As I was sitting down, I remembered that the playlist sounded different and so I asked them to change it and they did! Then they said they were out of bloody Mary mix and so I thought oh I’ll just get my own and then told them that and then they went and got us bloody Mary mix for lunch and it was amazingFive stars to Alex our server“
“When I was craving sushi the other night and didn't feel like going out in the cold, this new takeout & delivery only restaurant popped up so I decided to try it. And I'm so glad that I did! The sushi arrived quickly and was super fresh. I got 2 spicy hamachi rolls, 2 spicy tuna rolls, and a miso soup. The soup was good but nothing to rave over, and rolls exceeded my expectations. They were fresh, tasty, and a good size. I even packed some for lunch the next day (still tasted great as leftovers) and the rice stayed soft too! Would definitely recommend for an at-home sushi night.“
“Everytime I’ve come to Dong Hae the staff are so kind and welcoming. Some may seem timid but they always will chat with you when they can! I drove four hours to come and it’s been amazing every single time. You can also buy kimchi from them, shoutout to my man Lee, he packed the container with love. Will be coming back until I can’t no more!!!! Love the service, staff, and everything about it.“
“Lina is the star of this place in service!! Wow!! We came in within 30 minutes of closing and she made us feel extremely welcome. Wow. And she was friendly and made it a great experience. She deserves a raise and in this business climate…every service detail makes a difference. We will come back because of her!! So thank you Lina. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Food was fresh too.“
“Went here for a friend’s birthday dinner. Food was great and quick even with how busy it was. Service was phenomenal, from the time we walked in to the time we left every employee we encountered was friendly and helpful.Highly recommend!“
“Went with my husband on a Saturday night to try out their sushi. Typical pricing, great quality fish/ingredients, friendly service. The menu is fantastic. Ordered 3 rolls and Chicken Pad Thai. All delicious. Took off 1 star because the sushi rice was quite thick/overpowering.“
“Stopped in for a late afternoon snack. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our orders came timely. I wished my sammie was a little bigger. I got the Saigon 88 and my dining partner got the koketoro. Ample toppings, well presented. Love this space, would come back to try another vendor at this food hall.“
“Posting this review after 3 separate visits, each of which has been exceptional. I’ve gotten the all you can eat all three times, which I enjoy. It’s such a good selection, everything on the menu is wonderful. The appetizers are great, the speciality rolls are nice, the salmon is very fresh. The ramen, especially the seafood ramen is phenomenal. The broth is a white color which is really cool, and it tastes superb, a clear rich flavor. I can see myself coming back often with friends or solo. The atmosphere is nice, the service is nice, it’s simply a fantastic time here. Highly recommend.“
“Food and service are great. I love all the Japanese bar food style options and sushi. The shishito peppers and karaage and yakitori were my favorite. Fun little place. I will be visiting again! Anything they cook over their little charcoal grills is great!“
“Server was a bit strange. The food completely made up for her. When you walk in the door, there is no fish smell.Very important! The food temperature was perfect.Texture, flavor, all spot on!We drove 25 minutes to get here, and will absolutely be back.“
“Decent sushi place with a very long queue during conference time. The sushi was fresh. They didn’t have premium parts like toro but it’s still pretty doable. The ramen bowl is super large and made me full on it’s own. The dishes came every like 9-10 minutes. My server forgot my order after 15 minutes she came back and asked me again so I ended up waiting 30 minute for a bowl of ramen.“
“I went to this store the first day they opened and had basically the same order today. The best parts is the quality is top notch, and the humbleness of the staff for thanking me for buying lunch. Just a great group that makes killer sushi quickly in order not to consume your whole lunch break. Great job!“
“Visited Kings Restaurant multiple times and I'm consistently impressed by the authentic Korean cuisine they serve. The food is delicious, providing a true taste of Korea. The staff, often international Korean students, are friendly and bilingual, adding to the cultural vibe. However, note that if you request extra rice, it might come as a surprise due to cultural expectations on portion sizes, which appear particularly modest by American standards. Their menu has significantly condensed post-COVID, now fitting on a single laminated sheet front and back, but the quality of the offerings remains superb. They previously featured a buffet line for lunch, which hasn't been seen in the last three years. Despite these changes, the dining experience here remains top-notch. Highly recommended for an authentic Korean meal!“
“Yummm! This place hit the spot after we did a wine tasting next door. We were walking by and just thought we would give it a try and we are so glad we did! We sat at the bar and the waiter was very helpful with recommendations for sushi! We tried the Bliss roll which was so so good. Highly recommended that roll. We also trying one more roll which I unfortunately for got the name but the presentation was very pretty! The menu had many options to choose from. After we were done someone said next time we come back to get the edamame! We will return for more sushi in the future.“
“I was near 50th and France, saw this place and randomly tried it. I walked in, the guy working was so kind and helpful. He went through the menu and I told him what flavors and fish I liked and he recommended the spicy salmon sushi burrito. He even added spicy mayo to the side saying it was his favorite way to eat it. I took one bite and was sold. It was delicious and I’ll be going back and telling my friends. So happy I took a chance on this place!“
“We occasionally go to Kyoto Sushi for the all-you-can-eat dinner, which is very good. However, today we decided to have a takeout Valentine's Day dinner from Kyoto Sushi, and we're so happy we did! They turned our salmon sashimi into a beautiful rose, and the rest of the sushi was delicious and made perfectly to order. I have an allergy to avocado and requested it be omitted from the order, and they made every roll perfectly. Their attention to detail made for a very delicious holiday dinner!Dietary restrictions: They are very attentive to dietary restrictions if you make them clear in the takeout order. Their accuracy was very much appreciated!“
“It was a very enjoyable evening. The server was wonderful and gave great recommendations. Everything at our table was delicious. Firecracker shrimp, Red quinoa and salmon salad, walleye, sirloin, filet, lobster Mac and cheese. Drinks were spectacular. Chocolate cake is best suited as a sharable for the table. It is huge. S'mores brownie is also sharable and delicious!!!“
“It was a pleasant surprise visiting this place because I definitely did not know about it at all prior to trying the food, but it was a wonderful balance of price, quantity, and flavor, to the point that it made my dining experience worth it! Kataki is nowhere close to an upscale or fine dining place but I felt like I paid for what the food was worth, and possibly even more! The highlights are definitely the sushi! My partner and I only got the yellowtail and the salmon roe sushi but they both tasted very flavorful, and the koshihikari rice was tasty as well. I could tell that the sushi was a specialty in this establishment. The price was very reasonable as well, with $7 for the yellowtail sushi and $11.5 for the salmon roe sushi. The Kataki rolls were great as well, even if I knew that the spicy tuna, spicy salmon, and spicy yellowtail combination wasn't uncommon. Someone it tasted fuller and more flavorful than similar items I have had elsewhere. The tonkotsu ramen was solid as well, and I was given a good amount of pork with good texture that tasted slightly different from what I was used to. The broth was only okay, but I know it's hard to achieve perfection for such in a restaurant so I was okay with it. For $14.50, it was worth it!The appetizers such as shumai, softshell crab tempura, age tofu, and takoyaki were also solid, and once again, for $7.5 each ($8.95 for the softshell crab) it was worth it, but they were not as good as the sushi in terms of economical value. The octopus meat in the takoyaki was hard. The age tofu relied on the sauce for flavor completely. And the shumai was a bit soggy. Regardless, they were all solid enough!Once again, I did not expect myself to give a 5 rating to a Japanese food place that wasn't the most well-known for its authenticity or fanciness, but the food was tasty and it made me "feel good" here! There are many establishments like this one, but somehow the food here has had more flavor in comparison.“
