OkiDoki Sushi is a restaurant located near the UofM area that offers delicious food with excellent knife work and well-portioned dishes. The restaurant has a small space with a variety of seating options and single-sex restrooms. They offer an all-you-can-eat (AYCE) menu for $39.99, which starts at 2pm, and a lunch menu until 2pm.
Some of the popular dishes include the Honey Bee Roll, Spider Roll, Blackened Tuna Nigiri, Seared Scallop Nigiri, Poke Salad, Sunomono Salad, Takoyaki, Gyoza, and sashimi. The sashimi is generously sliced and fresh, and the sushi tower is a favorite with its great flavor and fresh salmon on top. The AYCE price is reasonable for the quality of food.
However, some dishes such as the green salad and coconut shrimp are not well-liked due to the mayo-based dressing and overly sweet taste. Vegetarian options are limited, and there are no fried rice, fried noodles, or chicken wings on the menu.
Parking is available in a 2hr parking garage or metered street parking. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, but not auto. Service is nice, but can be slow at times. Overall, OkiDoki Sushi is a good option for sushi and sashimi in the UMN campus area.
