“We walked in sad, remembering our brother. We walked out laughing and even dancing a little. That meant a lot to our family.

Our server Annaleise shows up with a warm, genuine, just great energy. The kind of person who makes you feel welcome right away. Super honest about the menu too, even when some popular items were out because of maintenance. No nonsense, just real and kind.

And the food? Fantastic. The lamb shanks were fall-apart tender, rich, and packed with flavor. The chicken shish kebab was put together beautifully with a side of colorful, tasteful, fresh cabbage, great rice, and a special sauce that was so good I had to order extra. I’m not even a big chicken girl, but this one was clean, juicy, and full of taste.

Then the staff surprised us with a big cheesecake for my sister’s birthday. It came with a candle, song, the whole deal. It came with warm melted chocolate you drizzle on top, and the moment it hits the cheesecake it hardens into a chocolate shell. Absolute genius.

I can recall several examples of the staff being supportive towards my mom who has been living with end stage cancer for years now. We go EVERY appointment and surgery scheduled in Rochester. “The patio could be the location for Lord of the Flies! I enjoyed the Onion Rings appetizer and Fish & Fries. The food was good but I had to cover the food with napkins because there were so many flies. I asked a server to turn up the ceiling fans to blow them away and was told that was the highest speed available. I guess that was the easiest answer because the fan was barely moving. They can do much better.”

“went here for the first time today! im so glad we came here. this was an incredible experience. our server was an absolute sweetheart and the sushi was absolutely premium quality. I got the all you can eat. had some shrimp and calamari tempura, Phoenix roll, new crazy roll, futa maki, and royal roll. the phoenix was a very strong start, a great first roll. the new crazy roll was my first time trying deep fried sushi, I had no idea what to expect but never could have expected what I got. it blew my mind. Futa Maki was a great roll to have after the crazy roll because the crazy roll is very bold and the futs maki was milder and simpler. a delicious high quality pallette cleanser and a great transition into the Royal Roll. which was my favorite one. the lobster sauce was sweet, the presentation was gorgeous. like everything else, the flavor was high quality and the roll was expertly crafted. Old fashioned four roses was delicious as I added excellent house bitters to my liking .
We also had 3 mini shot size desserts for $11. Great chance to try a few samples.
If we need to return to Mayo Clinic we will be back. Oh forgot dozen oysters we had were terrific! We may try happy hour this trip for $2 oysters….”

“Great tasting pizza! They are a family owned business in Rochester. Zadeos has two types of crusts: a hand-tossed original New York style crust and thin crust. They have a variety of specialty pizzas such as a Premiere, Meat Supreme, and Taco pizza. You definitely exact portions/toppings for what you pay for. They also have a lunch buffet from 11:00am to 1:30pm Tuesday through Saturday, which includes single topping pizza, meatballs, garlic bread, and a salad bar.”

“Enjoyed the all you can eat sushi - lots of options and high-quality sushi. Sometimes the all you can eat places skimp on thickness or quality of fish, but this place does not. I’ll be coming back!”

“This is the best place in the town to have ice cream even in the late night hours. We go there to have ice cream, often, the softy cone or Sundae. We enjoy this place a lot. There is a lot of parking space available and you can get vanilla softy cone just in few bucks.”

“I grew up going to the old location of Pannekoeken and LOVED it. I had countless Sunday brunches with my grandparents and parents there, begging for troll dolls and ordering the namesake dish so that I could hear the servers announce my breakfast.

Much of this charm remains, but I kind of HATE this new location. The wide open warehouse-esque space is not cozy and does not fit the vibe of the food or nostalgia needed for this restaurant to shine.”

Chris W. was our server and was also excellent. For the atmosphere and service wad above pare and prices were very reasonable. I would whole hardily recommend you eat here if you visit Rochester, MN”

“I visited Forager and the venue is welcoming with one of the best tucked away patios. The paintings on the building were beautiful. The guitarist performing outside was on point. I ordered the beef stroganoff and overall it was okay. I found it bland and it needed more flavor. The main flavor for me, was flour. I also had to ask for salt and pepper which was not provided. There was some dill on it which added some flair but not enough dill. I feel fresh parsley will bring this dish to life along with some extra garlic. The carrot cake cupcake was amazing. The light frosting, the carmel drizzel, and candied carrots all were flavorful!”

I love their super thick chocolate chip cookie, but I’m also a fan of their super thin version because the bottom caramelizes and gives it a perfect sweet crunch. I was also surprised by how much I enjoyed the Dubai Chocolate Cheesecake cookie even though I don’t normally like cheesecake. Great flavors, huge cookies and always something new to try.”
