“I needed a treat, and did I ever get one in my bag of takeout tonight from Midori’s Floating World Cafe (in their temporary Seward Cafe location). The dumplings, entrees, and dessert were exquisitely prepared, with flavorful sauces and broths. Glad I splurged on the Daifuku: it was a little work of edible art. This food woke all of my senses for spring. I’ll be back.“

We came here for the first time on our 4 year wedding anniversary with our toddler. What a wonderful establishment!
The food and drinks tasted elevated and complex and were at a reasonable price point. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Some highlights include the caulini tempura, the mentaiko maze udon, the scallop temaki, and the black sesame cheesecake from the dessert place next door (which will be opening soon!) My son was SO excited to eat rice (his favorite food) in the shape of a bear and loved his Calpico drink and the red bean fish treat dessert.
Our waiter was nice, but not overbearing. He was very knowledgeable about the menu, gave us informed recommendations, and provided good advice on handling the hand rolls. The place has simple, but classy decor, and a nice large patio. Management was very generous in recognizing our anniversary with a couple of surprises. We felt very taken care of and were glowing with appreciation at the end of our meal.
We feel grateful to have found this gem in the neighborhood which we plan on returning to many times in the future.“

“My husband loves Japanese food and we came here for his birthday. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was really clean and easy. Austin took our order at the counter and was such a nice guy! Marvelous customer service, he really made the evening special. Jim especially loved his eel and I had the ribeye udon. We loved the yuzu shiso Spritz!“

“Every time I come to Osaka, I can clearly feel that it's getting better and better. The kids especially love the decor and the decorations. They've currently canceled the coupons due to rising prices and other factors, but they've improved the quality of their ingredients. I have to say, their hibachi shrimp is the best and biggest I've ever had. If you have a child celebrating a birthday, be sure to book a reservation and try it out. I'm sure you'll love it too.“

“We had a big group of us place separate takeout orders for pickup, and despite this place being relatively new, I thought the staff handled this quite well, bringing the food to us as quickly as possible. We had I think 8-10 people picking up orders, each who had ordered at different times, and they finished giving us all of our orders in about 15 minutes. Everything was well packaged and sealed. I foolishly forgot to get a picture of my rolls, but I ordered the 3 roll lunch special for 15.99, the agedashi tofu, and the short ribs - which, let's talk about those short ribs, y'all. They were well seasoned, tender, and rich - although the meat wasn't fall off the bone, it didn't need to be. The agedashi tofu was nicely fried, paired with bonito flakes and the takoyaki sauce - if you like tofu you might like it! For the rolls, they present a combination of possibilities: I did the Alaskan, the spicy tuna, and the eel avocado. There are TONS more options to choose from if you check out the online menu. The menu for this place is quite robust, featuring ramen, fried rice, and some stirfries. You can even build your own ramen. Other local spots unfortunately no longer do sushi during the day, so this might have to be my new go to for a sushi lunch!“

“Loved this place! By far the best drunken noodles I've had in Minneapolis, and the sushi servings looked big and really good. I came here with a large group (~12), everyone ordered something different, and each one said their dish was amazing. Hard to find a place that will satisfy everyone, but Bagu definitely does.“

“Friendly service, food is pretty good, very casual setting. Order at the counter and a cute robot delivers to your table. You go get your own water and use a Styrofoam cup and you get your own to-go containers.

“Busy Saturday, but the place had no line, so I decided to check it out. The servers were friendly and were even willing to let me try the food. Honestly tasted just as good or even better than Panda, which had a long line. Food was well seasoned and flavorful, and the portion size was great! Highly recommend coming here and supporting them!“

“The sushi was pretty good and reasonably priced. They were generous with the salmon in the salmon roll and Philly roll, and the fish was really good. However, this is a ghost kitchen in a sketchy area. I don't recommend walking from downtown after dark, and definitely avoid Currie Ave. The locker pickup system didn't work that great and I had to wait around for about 10 minutes even though my order was supposed to be ready when I arrived. And the staff are basically hiding in the back...“
