“We were here for dinner over the weekend and everything about this place was phenomenal we tried multiple things off of the to share or not portion of the menu and loved every bit of it. The whole grilled fish our waitress mentioned rotates depending on what is available fresh and it was cooked to Perfection and probably our favorite thing all weekend. The cocktail menu is unique and everything that we had the opportunity to try was delicious I highly recommend doing the cocktail flight to anybody who doesn't have a favorite spirit. Staff was incredibly friendly and knew what they were talking about if you had questions. To those looking at going here reservations are a must!!!! Great atmosphere as well“

“I drove by this hidden gem weeks ago and finally was able to stop in for lunch today. I gotta say that this is some of the best tasting food I have experienced in Minnesota since returning home. I tried the Picadillo meal which was perfectly seasoned and not over salted like some places do. The rice was a perfect consistency and a freshy made salsa added a little kick to the meal. The customer service was top notch and I will definitely be back to try some of the other menu items. A+++“

Our server was great, he took great care of us, very informational on the food, drinks, and dessert, he didnt miss a beat. Wished I would have gotten his name - but he had long blonde hair that he put up. The food all came out at once, obviously we asked for the appetizer to come out first, we had no complaints on the food, everything wad delicious. We left home satisfied with everything. Only thing that my husband complained about was the parking lot - kind of small and if it became busy, you'll have to park elsewhere.“

“We have been frequent visitors of both LBC & IGBC since the beginning and tonight was hands down the best experience we have ever had. The food/atmosphere/drinks were great as always, but what put it over the top tonight at IGBC was our server- Caygen. She welcomed us and our 3 kids and had such an amazing attitude. She was friendly, cognizant of getting the kids drinks and then food in quickly and checked in frequently. We ordered a fruit cup for our one year old and she took the time to cut it up to make sure we didn’t have to and that it was ready for him to eat. This is something that we have never experienced and we were touched by the gesture. We will be back and hope to have her again!“

I came with my daughter and we both loved everything about it—the atmosphere was warm and inviting, the meals were absolutely fantastic, and the wine menu was excellent. “Myself and my fiancé are from Northern Minnesota and were there in July of last year. There were a couple of minor issues with our visit that day, but the food was delightful. Our server suggested that the manager may want to speak with me in regard to our experience, given the nature of the issues that occurred, so I left my business card and honestly forgot about it, as it wasn't that big of a deal to me. Some time later I received a letter at my office from the manager (I found out later that she's actually the owner.) She sent me a check to refund the cost of our meal, along with a very nice note of explanation and apology. The refund was way above and beyond what was necessary or expected. She took full responsibility for the issues that we had experienced at her establishment that day in July. She also asked for another opportunity to serve us the next time that we were in the area. This was a very classy (but unexpected) response to what I would consider to be something that wasn't that big of a deal to me, but it clearly was to her. Given the high standards that she clearly demonstrated for her establishment, there was no doubt that I would honor her request for a second opportunity. This last Saturday we were finally in town again and were able to visit the Basil Café for a second time. We had an absolutely delightful experience in every regard! After our meal, I asked the pleasant young lady that was checking on us if the manager happened to be in on a Saturday. Well, that turned out to be her! Her name is Tiffany, and she is the owner of the Basil Café. I introduced myself to her and she not only remembered the letter that she had sent and the small issues that occurred on our previous visit, but she also remembered my full name from memory!!! We had a very nice conversation and she sent us home with some extra spring rolls that we enjoyed at home later that evening. Tiffany, I also run a business, and the way that you treated us and handled that situation is an impressive lesson in customer service and leadership. You didn't just recover us as customers, you created 2 raving fans of your business through your actions and demeanor along with your wonderful cuisine. You easily could have brushed off the initial experience that we had last year. And, while we weren't upset about it, we likely wouldn't have thought to ever return to your establishment if you had. Instead, you held yourself and your wonderful restaurant to a higher standard, and you made 2 raving fans that will return again and again and will recommend your establishment at every opportunity. Tiffany, thank you for a wonderful dining experience and thank you for a refreshing attitude and demonstration of personal responsibility that you so impressively gave. That level of service and attention to detail is rare in our world today. BTW, the Drunken Noodles are delicious and so are the Spring rolls. We will see you again soon. - Jake & E.“

“Beautiful patio and great pizza and beer!“

“I came it at around 7 PM on a Friday night. Even though it was packed, they were able to squeeze in one person (me).

I had a salt rimmed margarita, that was very strong. The cheese curds were lightly battered and tasted great with the berry catsup provided. The Gouda Hash was like fancy hash browns and I’m not complaining. They were crispy and flavorful.

I got the Blues 2,0, and it was packed with flavor. The taste of the blue cheese and bacon contrasted with some kind of jelly, which provided a sweet flavor that worked really well. I think it was the shallot jam?

I finished my meal with a brownie batter and caramel shake. It was really good, and was still liquid enough to drink.

Althouch a little bit on the pricier side if you go the whole nine yards, I am happy to come back here again. Service is quick even during busy periods, the staff are polite, and the food is great.

Street parking is free I think, there’s also a pay lot up the street.“
