Colossal Cafe Reviews
The best breakfast and coffee in town..
It is in your best interest to eat here… it’s TO. DIE. FOR. 😋
Nice cafe that serves breakfast and lunch. Our server was friendly and very efficient. I had the BLT with a side Caesar - good. My husband had a Scandinavian frittata- also very good. My son in law had the colossal breakfast - good but the biscuit was dry. My daughter had a breakfast sandwich which was good. Portions was a good size. I’m not giving the restaurant 5 stars because breakfast was $100 - too much expensive!

Colossal Cafe is a popular restaurant known for its amazing food, often compared to a million chef grandmothers' creations. The menu offers a variety of delicious options, including a unique Korean Beef bowl with a kick. The cafe specializes in bakery items, with phenomenal cinnamon rolls and cookies, as well as house-made biscuits and gravy. The pièce de résistance is their house-made pineapple habanero hot sauce, which ranges from 2.5/3 on the Minnesota hot scale to a mild 1. The restaurant takes pride in making everything from scratch, from sandwiches to sauces. The atmosphere is perfect for families and friends, making it a long-time favorite for many.
While the food is great, guests should be prepared to wait, especially during busy breakfast and brunch hours. Many love the biscuits and flappers, with both mushroom and sausage gravy receiving high praise. The cafe also features outdoor seating, which is a nice option for those who prefer to dine outside. Reservations are not accepted, but they offer a waitlist that can be joined online. Parking is available across the street and along Grand Ave. Don't forget to try their special Benedict options and the classic American Breakfast. Coffee and service are top-notch, making this a favorite breakfast and brunch spot in Saint Paul.
