We ordered sandwiches and a smoothie - it was delicious!!! Will definitely be back.
Really glad that Mama's Market is in the neighborhood. The sandwiches are well made with slightly spicy mama's sauce. I really liked the green smoothie, though it was a little sweet. I also liked the range of groceries and household goods available there. Prices are low to medium. They have bags of plantain chips on the shelf, bulk and 2 lb. bags of yellow split peas (vatana dal) and red lentils (masoor dal). Mamas Market & Deli is a wonderful and welcoming gathering place in the Midway neighborhood. The moms and families who run the deli are wonderful, kind, generous, and attentive people who make visitors feel so loved, cared for, and welcomed into a community. The food is yummy, delicious, and very tasty, with affordable and reasonably-priced smoothies, fresh juices, and sandwiches made with so much care, such as a masala chicken sandwich and a veggie wrap. The traditional Ethiopian coffee service is truly to die for—strong, rich, aromatic, and delicious. The market also offers a good selection of grocery items like fresh produce, pantry goods, and cookware. With tables, chairs, and wifi, it is a favorite place to recharge, meet someone new, and enjoy genuine hospitality. For the neighborhood, Mamas is a gift and feels like part of the neighborhood serving neighbors.
