“Stars should be more like 3-1/2 due to how long everything took. We came here just to eat. The dining area wasn't very full, but it took quite awhile to get water and menus. Then a very long time before our orders were taken. AND then a very long time to get our food. All the waiting took almost an hour and a half. The food was good but not good enough to justify the wait.“

“This VFW has become our go to Bingo bar on Monday nights. We love this place, the food, the people, etc. Only gets 4 stars instead of 5 bc they charge for REFILLS of soda from the gun. Thats a horrible business practice. I dont know if they are told to or if the wait staff is just doing it on their own. On top of the charge for refills, the glasses they give you are half the size of any other place I have ever been.“

“Caveat before the review: It's four stars only because I've only ever had one item from Benton Station and that was the pizza, plus it was delivered so I did not go into the restaurant.

"Good afternoon. I recently had the opportunity to try your pizza. The gentleman that delivered it to Riverside Church gleefully informed us all about the pizza. I was serving as an election judge yesterday and our dinner was the pizza. Well, I am from NY and, admittedly, a pizza snob. The gentleman used what most NYers would call "fighting words" by claiming that your pizza is just as good. I have been in MN for four years, and there have been many who have claimed the same thing and been far from it. So, I had some trepidation as I tried the pizza. Color me surprised when I discovered that your pizza is close to what I'm used to. The cheese is great, the sauce was great, and, while I don't normally go for Detroit-style pizza, found that to be inconsequential. Then came the thought: if you guys can get that close with a thin-crust pizza...how close could you get with a traditional crust?? Given that your ingredients are all fresh and never prefabricated, I think there is major potential here. As it stands, you are 90% the way there. While I can't say you would ever get to 100%, I think you can get to 98% of the way there. I was glad to be proven wrong and enjoyed your pizza immensely. Please consider making a more traditional NY-style crust."“

“I went to Job Sims house for a service call for his air conditioner not working. Jon immediately offered me breakfast as he is a cook at granite city. I politely declined and continued working. After I finished fixing his air conditioner Jon comes out with a plate of food saying it wasn’t in his nature to not give out food. I went back to the shop and ate the best homemade burrito I have ever had. Jon was not only one of the nicest people I have met but also one of the best cooks. You will not be disappointed going to granite city and receiving a meal made by Jon!“

“I like going to the Middy because there is always a wide range of people there. The drinks are good, the prices are pretty good. Sometimes it can get a little crowded due to the small space. But Will, the owner, is a good manager and knows how to keep the nights fun.“

“Live 2 blocks away and love coming here with my wife. We always order pizza ! Great service and the owners are usually around and fun ! Also as far as the review goes below with Brady becker I was here that night as I don’t see the owner upset literally ever! It was a Saturday the night of the trump rally (go trump) and there was a kid around kicking a volleyball around into our table twice and wandering everywhere . At one point my wife and I were like where is the parent ? After going behind the bar at least twice that I saw the owner talk to them and they left. Just wanted to clarify on that as a witness. And it was much closer to 6 than 7 because the rally speech was at 7. And it was at least a half an hour before that if not more . The dad never seemed rude or anything but literally keep track of your kid IF you are going to bring him to a bar! The owner just laid down the law that SHOULD already be common sense to parents but apparently not. I get that it’s common for a parent to want to believe their child isn’t in the wrong or give the benefit as well, but those are the facts !

“My fiancé and I went to Tacoholic for a kid-free lunch date for the first time. I ordered a margarita flight with piña colada, peach, watermelon and hibiscus flavors as well as the fish tacos and corn in a cup. The top of the corn in a cup was good but the bottom half was soupy and not flavorful. The fish tacos did not come with cabbage, but rather lettuce which was a little off putting. All could have used more flavor. They had a few beers on tap and you can build your own burrito. I’d like to come back and try some other items.“

“This was the very first bar I came to when I moved to saint cloud. It wasn't my go to bar because it was out of my "jurisdiction". Vfw ended up becoming one of my favorite cornerstones. I ended up being in vfw's neighborhood. If your looking for friendly banter, with a Cheers tv show atmosphere. Come to vfw have a couple drinks and ask for juju. You will fall in love with the many patrons and older veterans who make vfw a very cool place.“
