“I'm a local driver (MN) and try to stop in every time I can. Nice little chrome shop, tons of accessories. They have the carbon copy loose leaf log sheets I like ? and there's ALWAYS parking. It can get tight but there's always a spot to tuck in some place. Hot plate food has a large selection of decent food. The restaurant is great also. Bathroom is nice.“
“Only reason for 4 stars is the hash browns and bacon were cold when they came to our table. Cash or Check Only! Food was FAST! Omelet was AMAZING! Service was excellent! Everyone that came in was talking about how wonderful the place was. Overall - Cute little place! Much bigger inside then you would think from the outside. There were lots of cars when we pulled up and we thought for sure the place would be packed inside but it wasn't bad and there was no wait at all! Staff was quick at clearing tables and taking orders, everyone helped out everyone! Nice job Ding Dong Cafe!“
“My daughter and I were on a road trip and stayed in the area. We went there for dinner. Let me say first of all that our server was great. Quick to respond and friendly. And the atmosphere was comfortable. I really liked the beer that I selected - a pistachio beer from Indeed. But, I can honestly say that I had the WORST BLT of my life!! My daughter's sandwich was fine and our appetizer of green beans was fine, but the bacon on this sandwich seemed like microwave bacon that had barely been warmed up. It was fatty and rubbery. A whole pile of it on top of hard tomatoes! Well, one little hard slice of tomato on each side. And it was hardly toasted. I normally am not one to write complaints about my food, but this was not good. With that being said, the place filled up when we were there and other people's food looked good. It must be a place that the locals frequent, so the food must be good. There was a meat raffle and a band going on too. Appears to be a fun place.“

It’s obviously a favorite of locals but I never felt like an outsider! It’s off the beaten path but definitely worth your time to stop in and meet the amazing owners and staff! “We stopped in while on our road trip to North Dakota. ?We had Stacy as our server, she was so sweet, prompt, fantastically full of positive vibes!!My son ordered the chicken chipotle sandwich with waffle fries (yummy ?) & I ordered a BLT with waffle fries (double yum ??) both orders were really good and their waffle fries were ???!We plan on hitting this place on the way back. ?Thank you Stacy! “Get the country fried steak. It's perfectly seasoned, breaded, and fried..... Topped with savory sausage gravy. The mix of the ground beef, breading, and sausage gravy is a wonderful symphony in your mouth. That's all I order when I'm here. This is also the best breakfast place in town.The food is good and the service is friendly.“
