“I went to Job Sims house for a service call for his air conditioner not working. Jon immediately offered me breakfast as he is a cook at granite city. I politely declined and continued working. After I finished fixing his air conditioner Jon comes out with a plate of food saying it wasn’t in his nature to not give out food. I went back to the shop and ate the best homemade burrito I have ever had. Jon was not only one of the nicest people I have met but also one of the best cooks. You will not be disappointed going to granite city and receiving a meal made by Jon!“

“Shout out to Joe and his wonderful staff at Neighbor’s, St. Joe. They provided the perfect venue for my daughter’s baby shower earlier today! The taco bar was perfect, the staff attended to all our needs, everything was timely and exactly what was asked - could not have gone more perfect! Definitely a thumbs up from us - our guests commented how great the accommodations and food were as well. Much appreciated!“

“A surprising find when we were looking for a restaurant with a quiet side room for a small family celebration. My grilled salmon was great & our server, Mia went out of her way to be sure we had everything we might want. There was even a bar for those who wanted something to drink. Thanks for a great venue.“
“This was the very first bar I came to when I moved to saint cloud. It wasn't my go to bar because it was out of my "jurisdiction". Vfw ended up becoming one of my favorite cornerstones. I ended up being in vfw's neighborhood. If your looking for friendly banter, with a Cheers tv show atmosphere. Come to vfw have a couple drinks and ask for juju. You will fall in love with the many patrons and older veterans who make vfw a very cool place.“

“My mom (4-5 years) and aunt (7+years) worked at original downtown HOP... it was so fun to visit the new location. I still remember the upstairs of the original as a kid (scary stairs 😉). Such fun memories... the cheese garlic bread was so good, I didn't even get a photo of it. The pizza costs more, but it is 👍. So glad to hear it is still in the family!“

“Lovely patio! Lots of indoor and outdoor seating! We went to watch our friend play (they have live music often)!! Best part is the Elote flatbread!! Highly recommend! Beers a bit overpriced (we weren't there at happy hour though).

“We and my girlfriend stopped here for lunch and it was our first time eating here. Since the weather was nice, we decided to sit at the outdoor patio. We were greeting by a friendly waiter who was happy to give us some suggestions on their popular dishes. I decided to get a pickled loon burger and my girlfriend got the Rueben. We got the dill pickle cheese curds as an appetizer.
The food came quick and looked great. The cheese curds were hand battered and were very light tasting. Not drenched in grease and were very good. My burger was pretty good but I think next time I’ll get something a little more different than just a bacon cheeseburger. The gfs Ruben was delicious! I was lucky enough that she shared a few bites with me and it was phenomenal! Prices were great as well. About the same if not a little cheaper than fast food but tastes wayyyyy better!
This place is a fun hang out. A very cool atmosphere inside and nice and relaxing and a good place to people watch outside. I would highly recommend this to anyone in the area! I can’t wait to go back and try some others!“
“Stars should be more like 3-1/2 due to how long everything took. We came here just to eat. The dining area wasn't very full, but it took quite awhile to get water and menus. Then a very long time before our orders were taken. AND then a very long time to get our food. All the waiting took almost an hour and a half. The food was good but not good enough to justify the wait.“

“This VFW has become our go to Bingo bar on Monday nights. We love this place, the food, the people, etc. Only gets 4 stars instead of 5 bc they charge for REFILLS of soda from the gun. Thats a horrible business practice. I dont know if they are told to or if the wait staff is just doing it on their own. On top of the charge for refills, the glasses they give you are half the size of any other place I have ever been.“
