Sports Bars near Taylors Falls

“After smelling the smoke from the grill we had to try it. We sat outside in a shaded area covered by trees and umbrella so what was a hot day felt nice and cool. We ordered the fish and a chicken sandwich. The serving sizes were huge. The chicken was perfectly charbroiled and had an amazing Smokey bbq flavor. Fries were nice and crispy. Even my Diet Pepsi tasted better than usual.“

“First time visit yesterday after a day of kayaking at Taylors Falls.

After google search in the state park area I was originally at - Ward’s bar in Dresser looking like a cool bar and grill to check out. When I arrived outside of the bar there was plenty of parking. Not too crazy actually.

Lots of liquor selection, but I came for the beer. New Glarus on tap and in bottle? Yes. 👍 Food was very affordable. Impressed that the bartender cooked and fried my food so quick while still handling the bar. Food was awesome and hot as hell when it arrived to me at the bar.

Touch tunes access and a pool table. I appreciated the Minnesota and Wisconsin sports wall art/mirrors inside of the bar. Makes me wish I lived in the neighborhood and supported this spot. Everyone inside was chill - even the kids.

I did have to pay cash for my tab, but an ATM is present. I really hope to come back. Bartender is sweet and friendly.“

“My review is based on how 5 J's is a community-minded business. I am the student council advisor at a nearby high school, and this place helps us raise funds to improve our school by donating the cans that come from the patrons who go to their establishment to our aluminum recycling project. They don't have to do this, but in talking with the owner, she very much wants to support the school and students rather than making a few bucks. If you ask me, that is pretty amazing, especially in this economy. We can't thank them enough for their generosity! So if you are looking for a friendly place to relax that supports students they are near, this is the place!“
