“This place is a solid dive bar that takes you right back to the '70s. It's not fancy, just good drinks at great prices. The place is super relaxed, and the crowd is friendly and laid-back. It’s in the heart of downtown. This bar is an adults type place, though—wouldn't recommend bring the kids. If you're looking for a no-frills spot to grab a drink and relax, this is it. Highly recommend!”

“Fast and friendly service. I got the veggie platter, and it was huge and chock-full of delicious food! I also got the hot black tea and it was refreshing and flavorful. They have a diverse menu with very affordable prices. I can’t wait to go back and try other items on the menu.”

Note to other patrons:
Bringing a large group to breakfast on the busiest day of the week? Call ahead and reserve a table. Panicking the high school age hostess because you brought a group of 11, which was shortly followed by a group of 6, to a popular busy breakfast place and didn’t plan ahead… not their fault. Being seated after 1-top and 2-tops… normal. They only have so many big tables. Don’t flip out at the young girl trying to find you a table because someone eating by themselves was seated before your entire group had a free table. Accept YOUR bad planning and wait til they can accommodate you.

I’m appalled by the way I watched these people treat you. You did everything right, and if they complain later about it, I hope your bosses see this comment!”

“They serve super tasty, fresh sandwiches, salads and so much more! I love their Oriental salad and Zany Mullany sandwich combo. Open for breakfast too, Service is fast and prices are very reasonable. The staff is so fun -- I always come away happy that I stopped in!”

“My husband and I were in the area so we decided to stop in. We were on a time crunch so we ordered some easy stuff such as finger foods and fried rice. I was in the mood for something beefy but wasn't really in the mood for pho or anything soupy so I ordered the beef bulgogi instead. The food took a while to be served but the server was pretty cool so we didn't mind. When we got our food, the finger food was pretty good. The spicy fried chicken we ordered was good. The fried rice was bland. The bulgogi, however was disappointing. Instead of using a type of meat with some marble in it, they used the eye round, the leanest part of the cow, and grilled it up. I get it. It's already sliced thinly for pho but the eye round pieces that was used was pretty thick. The whole thing was dry and chewy. There was barely any sauce glazed over the meat. Please don't be cheap. If you're going to put a certain dish on your menu, serve it properly with the correct type of meat. If you don't want to use a more expensive cut such as ribeye, which is the correct section of beef to use, then go with the chuck meat. We hear good things about the sushi so maybe next time we'll stop in for that.”

“Haven't been back in almost 3 years because my last visit the bar manager was less than inviting. They've done some changeover recently and the new bar manager was absolutely LOVELY!! so lovely, inviting and willing to step outside the menu to create something delicious! Hope this new round of staff sticks! Will definitely be visiting again soon!!”

My daughter has celiac and sam said anything on the menu can be gluten free, she loved the chicken and broccoli and he even packaged it separately to ensure it was safe for her. Highly recommend!”

“My daughter and I went here because I was on the search for an amazing Affogato. They did not disappoint. The owner was super sweet to my daughter and pulled strawberry gelato out of the freezer even though it wasn’t on their menu that day. “A absolute gem of a restaurant in White Bear Lake. In town visiting family & so enjoyed our first time here last night. Very cool & well designed with a great vibe, beautiful bar area where you can comfortably dine also. Which is aso the main diningroom with views of the kitchen & Chefs creations. Food was out of the park; 2 chicken entrees & the Walleye-and let's not forgot the delicious chocolate mousse dessert! Will always plan a dinner here we visit again.”

She felt bad the Flavor of Day sold out, so she made my chocolate scoop with Love and sp did the cook on my Fresh Grilled Chicken Smadwhich! They did not care I was in drive through at 10:51... 5 MINS BEFORE 11:00 PM when drive thru closes!!”

“First and only visit w/ a friend. Friendly service, though I cannot speak to the quality of mixed drinks or beer selection since I'm sober and just ordered a juice and water. Slow night, which was much more my vibe. Very clean establishment on my visit. Definitely preferable to the 617 bar. Don't go there. Come here instead. WB Bar has more space, they have pool tables, AND the beautiful bartender is far more polite to those who are new and aren't looking to be treated like an out of towner when they are in fact more local than some of these other snobs! 🤓☮️”
