“Honest Review of Billy Gail's in Branson, MO I recently visited Billy Gail's in Branson, and overall, it was a good experience with a few ups and downs. Starting with the positives—the service from my server and the front-of-house supervisor was excellent. Once I was seated, my server was attentive and friendly, and the food was very good. The portions were generous, and the flavors were exactly what you’d hope for from a place known for homestyle cooking. However, the initial impression wasn’t quite as welcoming. The hostess gave off a rather cold and distant vibe upon arrival, which set a bit of a negative tone at the start. Additionally, it took about 20 to 30 minutes before I was even greeted by my server. It turns out she hadn’t been alerted by the hostess that I had been seated, which explains the delay—but it was still a bit frustrating. Despite the rocky start, the good food and strong service from my server and the supervisor made up for it. I’d definitely give Billy Gail's another try, especially since the food and service (once it got going) were solid. Hopefully, they can smooth out the front-of-house communication to create a more welcoming first impression.“

We ordered the garlic cheese curds, a bacon cheeseburger, general’s chicken and fried rice, an iced coffee and some amazing homemade chocolate chip cookies! They also had a variety of pizza options. Seriously, if you’re in the area then do yourself a favor and stop here for a bite of whatever you can think of!“

“This is far and away the best sports bar in town. Heck - they are pretty much my favorite place to eat, period! Their wings are the best ever - char-grilled, not fried or baked (as some mistaken reviewers have claimed. Everything is quite affordable, the service is beyond excellent, and the drinks are excellent! Do they get busy? Heck yes - and that's always a good sign! Do they occasionally have an off night? Doesn't every establishment? But do they respond to issues and take care of the situation? Absolutely! I often joke that this place is my own Cheers bar, as the staff is so good and know my name! If their food, drinks or service sucked, or was incredibly inconsistent, I'd never recommend them. But they are the best in town - and my first recommendation if someone wants a good place to watch a sporting event, they will always be my first choice to recommend!“

“We were in Branson June 1 - June 6 2025 . (From Nebraska) We absolutely love coming to Branson —- we came on June 1st which was our 34 th wedding anniversary , and Branson was our honeymoon destination 34 yrs ago . We absolutely love love love Branson and all the entertainment it offers and provides . We love all the restaurants in Branson for a selection of a wide variety of food . We have never at hero’s but chose to try it this time —- it did not disappoint what so ever we absolutely loved it the food was delicious so good it called us back for a 2nd time Within that week —- the first time we had their fried chicken —- which is always kinda a concern being away with not knowing if it’s going to be greasy or not as my husband has a touchy stomach with greasy food . We loved the fried chicken !!!!! Literally lived it non greasy and very tolerable and did not upset my husbands stomach —- it was again very impressive and delicious . Toward the end of our week we chose to go back to hero’s once again and we were once again very very pleased . The waitresses were so nice and so accommodating and it was just he best in atmosphere —- we would be extremely extremely sad if this place ever closed because it’s on our return list for our next return to Branson . Oh and did I mention the breaded corn it’s a hit it was so unique and so different and it was yummy!!! Thanks hero tastes and taps you have us as a return customer to hero’s . It’s highly recommended over and beyond in a 5 star!!!!“

“This is a fun 80's themed cafe. The food was pretty good - and didhes had cute, 80s themed names. My club sandwich was named the Culture Club. We had some pretzel balls with dip named... Spaceballs, of course. There was a live band setting up to play. Unfortunately, we left before they got started. Old music videos and commercials from "olden times" played on the tube TV's located throughout. It's a fun flashback!“

Nothing to write home about.\n\nSome in our group enjoyed fish and chips.\nThe pizza was eaten quickly.\nI was told the bison burger had a weird texture and only half was eaten.\nThe nachos consisted of about two bags of chips, 2 cups of congealed nacho cheese, a drizzle of bbq sauce, and maybe 1/2 cup of brisket. It’s just a great place all around. If you haven’t eaten there yet, I highly recommend it! You won’t be disappointed!“

“It was a great day and I highly recommend purchasing Tram tickets as the guide Joe was amazing with knowledge of history and the background of the animals. It is worth the extra cost. I recommend that you get reservations early for the tram as Joe said the animals are more active in the morning. The animals were active and able to get the best pictures up close.“

“Heather was our waitress and she was amazing. The food, the atmosphere was warm, inviting and I honestly cannot remember a dinner the I enjoyed every bite. I had the special with the pork chop, hubby had the butternut squash ravioli. They started us off with a crostini with cream fresh pears and basil pecans, to die for. Then after dessert we had chocolate mint macarons. Highly recommend if you are staying at Big Cedar lodge or just visiting. Thank you Heather for taking your time with us and making it a special anniversary dinner.“

On vacation we had a group dinner here. Charlie was amazing getting us seats and making sure we're comfortable. We had two servers our table had Denise. She was great handling the table and split tickets. The guy looks like the manager seem to have a issue with me checking the section seeing if we had enough space before my huge party sat. Our other half had a different server who was not pleasant. Seemed like she had a issue doing her job. Overall the food and drinks were great. Thank you again to Charlie (Hostess) and Denise (Server).“

“This bar gets a 5 stars rating primarily because of Carolyn. She was the bartender working nights on the second night of our stay. She saved our vacation or at least made it so we didn’t have to go looking for another hotel. (See my review of the Thousand Hills Resort Hotel.) There were numerous problems with our room and we were getting nothing but lip service from the front desk. Late at night we were whining about it to Carolyn. She took the initiative to do something about it. She called the night maintenance man in to talk to us and he made sure the maintenance issue were addressed that night. I wish I could remember his name of the maintenance man as he deserves credit as well.“

“We love Cheddars. It is a corporate restaurant and our expectations are consistent with that model. Our meal was as expected with the following exceptions:

1. It is my fault for not checking the ticket prior to departure, but I was charged $7.29 for chips & queso dip after redeeming "free with code" coupon. LESSON: Thoroughly, check your bill.

2. Buffalo rollup: shell was dry and crusty after being seared on a griddle.

“My husband, friends, and I stopped by for a drink and to take in the sunset ceremony. It was an unforgettable experience. The venue's atmosphere is impressive, boasting a spectacular view that made us hesitant to leave. Although I had initially planned to dine elsewhere, I was thrilled to have stayed. I ordered the scallops....they were hands down, the best I have ever tasted. Our server, Brittany, delivered outstanding service. “On a beautiful sunny afternoon I rode my goldwing motorcycle through town. I'm not one to treat myself, but thought "what the heck" and stopped at this particular Denny's. JP(short for Jennifer P) welcomed me like family and helped me decide on a black coffee, lumberjack slam with caramel banana cream pancakes on the side. I enjoyed the flavors as if trying them for the first time all over again. The food was not greasy and the coffee was not weak. All in all I was extremely happy with the meal and friendly service.
