Steak 'n Shake Reviews
I had to order my own food, then pick it up and carry it to my table. And the ordering kiosk still asked me if I wanted to tip! If this is now your business model, no thanks.
Service is a thing of the past.
I purchased food on the mobile app for delivery. My food was never delivered. They still took my money. They sent me an email saying they canceled my order but still haven't returned my money. there's absolutely no way to speak to a person on the phone and I've sent numerous complaints through every avenue that I can email the mobile app this website on Facebook. I will never go back there again You just bought yourself $42.67 worth of bad advertising! Hope you're happy with yourself.
The quality of our local steak and shakes have significantly improved along with the staff. Much cleaner, tastes better, and even seems more filling than it used to. On top of that the new company policies like banning microwaves, beef tallow for their fried goods, and grass fed beef for the burgers. Steak 'n Shake is a restaurant that offers a unique dining experience. Based on the reviews, the quality of the food is generally praised, with the fries being described as small but tasty, and the shakes as being large and delicious. The service, however, seems to be a mixed bag.
While one reviewer had an "amazing" experience with an attentive server, others have reported issues with the waitstaff, such as long wait times, lack of attention, and incorrect orders. The take-out service, in particular, seems to be a weak point, with customers reporting long wait times and poor customer service. Some customers appreciate that the food is cooked with beef tallow, which gives it a more flavorful taste, and mention that the milkshakes are thick because they use ice cream instead of ice milk. The atmosphere is described as part diner, part restaurant.
The menu includes popular items like the garlic burger, which is highly praised as one of the best burgers ever, especially when customized with crispy onions, Jalapeños, and pepperjack cheese for a great flavor at a reasonable price. Customers note that the sandwich is fresh and good, though some wish they would go back to the original slice dill pickles, as the current ones are not favored. Overall, the restaurant is seen as a decent option for dining in, with good food and friendly staff, especially when the service is attentive. Despite some inconsistencies, the restaurant does many things well and remains a popular choice for a satisfying meal.
