“I came here tonight to pick up my to-go order since I wanted Vietnamese food for dinner. This is one of the places in town I have yet to try. I ordered Cha Gio, Vietnamese iced coffee, and Com Dac Biet.Sidenote: I was looking up their menu online (on Yelp and Google), and to my surprise, when I was about to pay for my food, the total was so high that it was like doubled. The prices online needed to be corrected, leaving a wrong impression on me. Later on, further investigation into this price change shows that their main profile on Uber has the exact pricing and also from their main website. The price change surprised me since I had brought cash with the precise amount to pay.The food itself was overhyped, but the taste was okay. It smelled better than how it tasted...the rice platter. The Cha Gio was delicious, especially with the lettuce wrap and the fish oil *chef's kiss*, and the iced coffee was the same everywhere; nothing new to note about.I would say that in the near future, I will come back to this place and sit down to enjoy their food instead of ordering to go to see if there have been any changes to the food's taste and quality.“

“July 2023 update - My friend and I came back a couple times and the food has improved. Will be back again, increasing to four stars.Original review: My boyfriend and I have heard so many great reviews about Nudo House so we decided to try it! The ambiance was great - very modern and inviting; the staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I asked what their suggestion would be and they said you can't go wrong with the classic Nudo or the Bahn Mi so we ordered both, but sadly it was very underwhelming. The flavor wasn't rich or flavorful like we expected, and the noodles tasted like instant ramen, kinda rubbery and very bland. Maybe it was just an off day for them but it was highly disappointing, especially after reading all the amazing reviews!Their Mai Lee restaurant, however, is incredible.“

“Saigon Cafe a local gem, w/ bright rooms, outdoor exposure, and friendly staff. Start w/ delicious Nem Nướng Cuon: fresh spring rolls w/ warm crunchy pork cakes within. You might want the warm spices of the Cà ri gà (chicken curry with veg) but I’m a noodle boy, so I picked the Bún bò xào chả giò: flavorful steak w/ charred veg over vermicelli. Really really excellent!“

“Met a friend here (Webster location) for a weekday lunch and was pleased to find it well-frequented but not so crowded as to make getting a table or enjoying easy conversation without shouting a problem. I ordered the steak vermicelli bowl with Vietnamese vinaigrette and a side of peanut sauce, along with a bottle of water while my companion had the bahn mi and a cold green tea (bottled). My water was pretty clearly a quick-decision afterthought and I would have appreciated if the young woman taking orders would have let m3 know water was available free where the utensils, etc. we're located (out of sight of the entrance and ordering station), I think my friend would have opted for the same. As it was, we added several dollars to our orders as a result. Chalk it up to experience. We both enjoyed our food, but I did find myself wondering if I should have chosen the add Mau vinaigrette instead of the traditional, as the flavor was different (not as good) as I've had at several other Vietnamese restaurants. My friend said her sandwich was good, but admitted she didn't have a big basis for comparison. I'll probably try it again and make few adjustments to see if I just made a wrong choice. Sorry I forgot to take photos, but I take it as a sign that the company was excellent and stopping the conversation for snaps would have been a drag.“

“As many have mentioned, you could drive by this place on Gravois in an old brick corner building with the little crooked sign and never even know it was there. But the full dining room showed that a diverse group of people DO KNOW all about the food here. I ordered all the classic basics to try: cha giò (fried crispy pork egg rolls), a grilled pork banh mi sandwich, and a bowl of pho tai (rare beef pho). The egg rolls were spot on: perfect, crispy chewy fabulousness, and the flavorful accompanying sauce was fresh. The bahn mi was very good and the pork had a nice chew, but wasn't gristly or tough. Plenty of pickled veggies, and fresh herbs and chilies. The only thing that could be better was the bread. Should be a super crispy crusty French loaf, but was instead quite soft and got a little soggy on the inside. The pho came with generous portions of fresh herbs, spouts, and razor thin slices of raw steak that you cook in the boiling broth. However flavorful, I was thrown off by the beef broth itself, which was VERY salty. And that was without the added condiments like Sriracha or hoisin , so I was not able to add those. Even with liberal use of lime juice, I felt like the saltiness was overwhelming. Hopefully it was just a fluke and the next batch will be better, because I fully intend to return to try the curry, summer rolls, and other noodle dishes.“

“The garnishes for the two to-go pho orders I placed were put into the same plastic bag and looked like it was a serving for one person. I didn’t know It was necessary to request ingredients for both orders be entirely separate as I thought that would be a given. What if me and the other person were going in two different directions? Cutting costs on food and supplies at the patrons expense is never a good look. Just make sure you check your bag before you pull off. My order was brought out to my car which I appreciated and the food was delicious. Just wish they hadn’t cheated us on the garnishes.“

“Overdue review. Tried this place when we were visiting family nearby. We had the beef hotpot and it was good. Though a bit on the higher end of the price, serving is generous. Owner is friendly and accomodating. If there are any adjustments needed on the flavor, she said just let her know. I wouldn't compare this to bigger Asian food chains as this is a locally owned restaurant. So yeah, food may take a while to be served as it is only her and another employee prepping the dine in and to-go orders but she will let you know prior to ordering how long the wait time is going to be.“
