“Gioia’s Winghaven is our go to for sandwiches! Always get the order correct, always timely service, always wonderful customer service, always delicious! The only complaint is I can’t have them on Sunday! :( We’ve tried to go back to other sandwich shops on a Sunday and it never compares to Gioia’s. You’ve raised the bar so much, now everyone else is a disappointment.“

“I go to the Shack at least once a month. I was there recently and received excellent food and service. Jennifer was great server, nothing was too much trouble. She helped move all of our coats and bags in order to change our seats. She was cheerful and helpful. I bring my out-of-town guests here often. “I had three bad experiences at global quesadilla on 141 and Clayton The first time I went in there they told me they don't accept cash. the second time I went in I got a quesadilla, some chips, and queso. the queso tasted awful. it tasted like warmed up canned cheese or something. I'd buy at the gas station but not the hot stuff in the dispenser that tasted better. And to be honest, there's nothing special about the quesadillas for the ingredients that go into it, the amount of time it takes to make and what they're charging for it. I find it ridiculous. if it's not going to taste good it should be cheap. at that point I'd rather make them at home. my third bad experience is a as a doordasher. after confirming the name of my customer, I proceeded to include my business card. global quesadilla doesn't own that food. that food was paid for by my customer. they have no right to tell me I can't put a business card with the food. the employee proceeds to yell at me multiple times to hand the food back to which I responded no twice and started walking out of the store. he proceeded to follow me out of the store continuing to yell at me and I had to tell him multiple times to back up/go inside / leave me alone. and if he touched me there's going to be a problem I shouldn't be in fear for my physical safety going into any establishment. they were also rude and unprofessional the first day I went in trying to pay with cash. how they've handled themselves multiple times is completely unacceptable. there's a reason why I only ate the food once. if I want Mexican food I'll make it myself or go to Taco Bell or a sit-down Mexican restaurant.“

“We ate at La Belle Vie this morning and were amazed at the portion sizes, how well seasoned everything was and the cook on our food. The coffee was delicious and they even make their own chai which is the best we’ve had at any coffee shop. We make our own and are quite picky and would absolutely order again! We are self proclaimed food snobs who have catered small and large events with everything made from scratch. This is now one of our favorite places and we’re so happy to have found them. The service was friendly and helpful. We met the owners who are absolute gems and their staff exudes the same happy, friendly attitude. Must try. Must go back again and again. I don’t believe we got our kind servers name, but the beautiful young lady was on it as well. The chefs/kitchen were on par as well, hubby had one of the eggs Benedict with a side of biscuit and gravy, I had the Ranchers beef salad, one of the best beef and blue cheese salads I’ve EVER had, and believe me, I’ve had a “few” 😋🤫😊 Hubs also loved the huge coffee mugs his coffee and my Kahluah/hot chocolate(yum on this damp chilly day)were served in…this where my only complaint would be, my mug was chipped along the rim 😅 All that said, it was just a fantastic way to start our Sunday. Believe it or not I’m a hypercritical person but I could find no fault at Michael’s. During both of my visits, everything everyone ordered was cooked and seasoned beautifully. So far I can highly recommend the Greek salad (standout among the large number of Greek salads I’ve tried), the rack of lamb and the galaktoboureko - a house-made dessert consisting mainly of a fluffy custard and phyllo dough. Even the side vegetables and rice were wonderful. The beer and wine selection was good as well and I wrote down my wine to look into buying a bottle. The many servers were extremely busy and professional and our server Amy did a helluva job. Large rack of lamb with sides, entree-sized Greek salad, two beers, wine and dessert for only $80 -which for the quality of our dinner was quite a bargain. Generic name belies quality cooking and serving! Pass it on!“

“We were in town (from the Twin Cities) for the 2025 President's Day Classic, and had Hogtown Smokehouse cater a team (and parents) dinner for 30 in our hotel. Rico was fantastic in helping us out. Quick to respond to calls and emails. Gracious, and just wonderful altogether... and that's just the service. The food? The empty pans, told the story. Brisket, Turkey and Pork for meats. Mac & cheese, potato salad and beans for sides. EVERYTHING was amazing! I never right reviews, but Rico and staff deserve this one. If you're reading this, don't hesitate to give them a try. I was working a private event with Blues Fired Pizza on Saturday and as I was closing the truck door to begin prepping and service, a friendly warm voice from an older gentleman said “Hello!” From the side as he was talking to the event coordinator. After shift I stuck around to wander the area and wanted to check out their truck. I met Steve (that friendly warm voice that had greeted me hours before) and he asked me how I was and how we did. Asked me if I’d like to order anything. I was shocked because I didn’t want to assume I could also order- having not been part of the event. I asked if it was okay and he said “Sure! We have to take care of our own!” With a genuine smile on his face. I heard stories of this industry being a cut-throat business. I was more than willing to pay for my pizza but Steve assured me it was okay. (I did drop a tip in their tip can) 🙂 ***** I had the 8" Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza. Garlic/Ranch Sauce, Chicken, Bacon, Jalapeño, Cheddar Cheese and Mozzarella Cheese. (Pictured) It was AMAZING! I’m so tired of these big chain pizza places and I’m sooo happy that I went to Blues Fired Pizza’s truck! The dough was fresh, soft, and had that fire oven taste and crisp. You can tell the dough is made from scratch. I’ve driven past them numerous times in Kirkwood at their little pizza shack… but never stopped in. I’ll be glad to come by and order for sure! What keeps you coming back are the amazing staff, inviting vibes, excellent work stations (for those of us who wfh but need to have people around), and community engagement. But they are also vegetarian and vegan friendly and have a great selection of teas and other drinks for weirdos who don’t drink coffee.
