“Easily one of the top restaurants to try in STL. The dishes were well executed and the service timed everything perfectly. I would love to see the chef have a bit more creative license and split a some more from the upscale American tradition. Also... may need some more acoustic treatment for the space. But overall, it was a fun experience.”

“Excellent anchovy toast, and the shrimp was succulent and flavorful. The veal meatballs were dry and not seasoned well. I highly recommend the lemoncello tiramisu. It was moist, light and refreshing. Excellent spot for dinner and drinks with friends or a date.”

“Grilled ham and cheese was fantastic. Nice thick ham!!! Wife had the chili dog especially liked that it was cut in half and grilled then chili added!!! The only complaint is I can’t have them on Sunday! :( We’ve tried to go back to other sandwich shops on a Sunday and it never compares to Gioia’s. You’ve raised the bar so much, now everyone else is a disappointment.”

I loved being able to do the four course meal with some of the specials. It was wonderful to see the dining room full in this well-established restaurant in the heart of Clayton. I remember being wowwed when I first dined at The Crossing 25 years ago and it is still just as fabulous! We cannot wait to return.”
