“I’ve gone to King of Soul for breakfast and absolutely love it! Today I decided to try dinner! We’ll I was a little disappointed. While their customers service is on point, the price is right and the food is delicious, today not so much on the taste. The mac & cheese was a bit salty, the yams were not freshly made and while the bake chicken was good there was no pan drippings at all. None for the chicken and none for the yams. So my dinner was a bit salty and dry. On top of that, right as they were bagging my food, I was told, “I’m sorry, we don’t have any cornbread. It will be 30 minutes. They are just putting it in the oven.” Whaaaa!? no cornbread, and I ordered collards. My humble suggestion would be, if you you open at noon, and folks are coming at noon, as I did, your cornbread maybe should be one of the first things you cook. Listen, everyone is off their game at some point and time. It happens to the best of us. I will patronize King of Soul again for dinner and hopeful I will be experiencing some good, finger licking “soul food.”“

“Took my husband to Hive this morning for Father’s Day breakfast. The wait staff is great! I had the absolutely delicious lamb chops, eggs, and breakfast potatoes while he had pancakes. He enjoyed one of my lamb chops to complete his meal. I highly recommend Hive if you want to have a great breakfast!“

“I visited the Ferguson location today w a friend who will be moving away from STL shortly. We were both first time visitors. Cathy was cooking and the food was amazing. My friend had the Friday Special (catfish, shrimp, and wings) while I chose the Thursday special of wings and shrimp. Both dishes were perfectly executed, tasty, and not at all oily. 10/10. Please support this small business.“

“I got the fried catfish, it was so hard if I threw it at the wall it would have put a hole in it. The sweet potatoes were from a can, no nutmeg, just sweet, the mac and cheese had some bacon or something in it that was crunchy. Cabbage was mushy, fried chicken had no seasoning to it, the bake chicken was just wet. For $70.00, do not waste your money or time. A hard No!“

“Stopped in on a whim today and actually decided to leave because it was so crowded, however, Andre the owner, caught us and talked us into staying. Gave me and my husband oowee burger, hot honey wings, and fries on the house. Told us we would not be disappointed if we stayed and my god, he was right! Hands down the best burger and wings Ive ever had in my entire life. We just left St. Louis headed back home to Ohio and I’m already craving some more of their food. Definitely will be back the next time we’re in STL. Everyone was incredibly nice and friendly and you could tell that Andre really cares about everyone that walks through his doors. If you’re in town definitely check them out. You will not regret it!!“

“OMG! Rich Friends Kitchen came THROUGH for us!!! We had a last minute situation with the caterer for our event and needed to have brunch for 60 people in less than 48 hours. Chef AP was able to squeeze us in at the last minute, delivered the food on time, and it was DELICIOUS! I HIGHLY recommend!“

“I don't think a lot of people are leaving a review for this place cuz they're too stuffed and tired they're taking a nap after they eat here. I went to a graduation today and it was catered by your guys and I have never had food like this at a graduation party this was delicious everything had flavor it didn't taste like cardboard cutout catering food we had chicken wings we had pork steaks we had lasagna (that was my favorite) mac and cheese mashed potatoes that melt in your mouth (my favorite) collard greens corn on the cob collard greens. there was no one but no one walking away hungry it was so delicious everything just melted in your mouth you could have heard a pin drop while everyone was eating well you did hear a lot of, that's good, what restaurant is this?, where is this place located, oh my gosh I'm stuffed, I'm going to let this settle and I'm going back up for some more.... heard a lot of that ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I was a guest today but I plan on being a customer real soon thank you to everyone today for the great food if you got a hanger in for something good I recommend this place you cannot go wrong thank you for taking the time to read my review every bit and every word of this is true have a great day“

“This was me and my sister's first time eating here. The food was great the waitress was wonderful she took care of us very well. I got two catfish and fries with okra with a side of mac & Cheese. The only thing that I did not care for was the mac and cheese. It did not satisfy my taste buds. But everything else was immaculate. I even enjoyed the ice tea. Great place to go if you want to watch the games and enjoy a good meal.“

And my "super adventurous" 8 year old got a cheeseburger with Mac and cheese. Everything tasted awesome, especially the catfish!“
