“Kate Smith Soirée did a phenomenal job with my in laws 50th anniversary desserts!!! We will absolutely use them again for any future events!! Macaron tower was packaged beautifully and securely for transport, same with the tiered caked and I am super clumsy and nothing fell apart or got ruined!!! I’m super grateful.“

“Crumbl Cookie is a must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth! Their cookies are always warm, soft, and packed with flavor. The variety of flavors they offer is fantastic, and I love that they rotate their menu, so there's always something new to try. The only thing I wish is that they had gluten-free options available. It would make it even easier for those of us with dietary restrictions to enjoy their delicious treats. Still, if you're looking for amazing cookies, Crumbl is definitely worth a visit!“

“The lemon/raspberry cupcake I had was GF/vegan—I require neither but my son is celiac. I wish I had bought a dozen for just myself. This is a moist cupcake with great lemon flavor, and I have no idea how they made such amazing vegan buttercream. The owner told me they are a highly symptomatic celiac so the space is strictly GF. I would go back in a second. For three treats and two bottles of water, I only spent $17.“

“We ordered our wedding desserts and cake from Dolce Bakery and they were all incredibly delicious! We live out of town and we were a bit nervous to order the desserts without having the opportunity to taste everything beforehand, but thankfully the team at Dulce worked with us and gave us such great recommendations! “Beyond impressed! My boyfriend's favorite dessert is a key lime pie. He has a son that has a gluten and dairy allergy and his one request for his birthday this year was a key lime pie that he could share with his son. That was not an easy task to locate. Even though it is not something they offer on their menu, Mud Pie Bakery was willing to do a special order for a gluten free, dairy free key lime pie and I must say, we were blown away! It was delicious! The crust was delicious, the filling was tangy, and the whipped topping was sweet and balanced everything else out! Not only that, but it looked beautiful! The best part is that my boyfriend's son got to enjoy a sweet treat that the rest of the family was having and that is something that rarely happens, due to his dietary restrictions! Thank you, Mud Pie, for doing this for us and for being so kind and accommodating!“

“Over the past decade ive been eating at Daylight Donuts, i always had a problem with how much frosting they put on top. Its way too little. Sometimes you take a bite and you end up filling your mouth with dough.
Went back here a couple weeks ago and it was the same. The frosting is really good too, why not put more on there?
But aside from that, this restaurant has really friendly staff and decent atmosphere. Donuts are also really good despite the issue i already discussed. A good 4 stars. It mightve improved since our last visit, but i havent came back yet.“

“We hosted my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary celebration at Be Free Family Farm last Saturday, and I couldn’t recommend the venue highly enough. It was perfect. One of the best things about the space is how adaptable it is. I’d been to a high school grad party there before, and I can’t think of anything further from a 50th anniversary than that! Be Free fit both perfectly. We had around 100 people total, with about 60–70 at the peak, and it was a little crowded but in an energetic way if that makes sense. It was mid-July and pretty hot outside, but the indoor space stayed cool the whole time. I’d love to host something there in the fall with the garage doors open. I’m sure that’s the perfect balance. Carl, Jennifer, and Scott were fantastic. They helped with setup, made sure we had everything we needed (including things we didn’t think of until we got there). Carl was quick to offer a ride for guests from the parking lot since we were dealing with mostly older guests. Scott and Jennifer helped welcome people inside and out, literally opening doors and showing people around. The sound system was great. They helped me get it going, and now I obviously want a Sonos setup at home 💀💰💵 Shout out to Apple Music for the ‘1975 pop rock’ playlist that was an easy option for a 50th anniversary. We catered food from Zarda BBQ in Blue Springs. I picked it up myself and ordered for 60, but we ended up with more than enough. Be Free had some catering equipment that we used. Here’s a text I got from my mom, 1/2 of the guests of honor: “Everyone said it was a great party and it truly was. Perfect place, perfect food. From the savory items to the sweet items, it’s all good, and their special mix of sweeteners not only doesn’t hit weird on the tongue, but can easily make you think you’re not eating a substitute product! Well worth the cost to ensure better health with each bite!“
