“Terrific pastry shop. We are always on the look out for one. And this one didn't disappoint. We picked out several items. Hard to pick to between them all but if had to of what we got the lemon cake and the napoleon were wonderful. Lemon wasn't over powering just perfect. Wonderful after flavor and was so refreshing. The napoleon flavor wasn't summery like the lemon but so good. Very friendly and wonderful descriptions. We will be back. Highly recommend.“

“My girlfriend had described this shop as cozy and that's the perfect way to describe it. It's tucked away in the back of a strip mall but it's worth the hunt. Two (yes 2 next to each other) drive thru coffee providers are in the parking lot as you turn in...skip those! They weren't busy but Sweet Tee's was. Not busy uncomfortable, just a nice quiet crowd. We went to visit and drink coffee. Although there are upholstered chairs and sofas, we chose to sit at a table for two. We visited for close to 2 hours. I see they have a new location also in Olathe. Judging from the on-line pictures, I don't think it has this cozy feel. I'm in Leawood, but I'd make a special trip out there again. Good fun coffees. Hers was hot, mine was iced. We didn't try the pastries but looked really good.“

“We did a cake tasting for our wedding cake today and omg so hard to choose a flavor we have decided for sure on 3 for our cupcakes. But let me tell you their lemon curd filling and whipped icing is beyond amazing and the chocolate cake is the best chocolate cake I've ever put in my mouth. We will use them for every event from now on. Their cookies are always amazing honestly I can't say anything bad about this place everything we've ever gotten has been amazing and the pricing is just as good as the flavors. “I wanted to try something different. I had never been in so I dropped by. This little cafe doesn't disappoint. The staff aims to please. They are extremely attentive without hovering. The cafe is friendly both staff and other customers engage/greet you as you enter and are seated. I ordered a side salad, fried mushrooms, and garlic parmesan wings. The salad was typical. But the wings and mushrooms were excellent!!! They came fresh and piping hot!!! An unexpected surprise was the horseradish dipping sauce. It was AMAZING!!! “First, their rum cake is bomb. It's just the right amount of rummy to add that flavor to the profile without making you feel like you had a second drink you didn't order. It's also not shy of being decadent it goes down like a real treat. I cannot recommend it enough.As for renting the room, it's omakase so chef's choice. That means your experience will be different from mine but, and forgiven me for I've only gone once so far, the sense I get is a focus on quality materials and not fancy techniques. The head chef will provide beautiful local foods, vetted and artisanal imports, or secret recipes their family guards! I can't promise it'll be breathtakingly presented or even something you couldn't see yourself making at home, but I can promise it'll be a filling meal, one with care put into every ingredient, and in a homey atmosphere that'll make conversation a cinch. It's a special experience I'd recommend to anyone once, and from there it's up to you to find out if you and the chefs mesh in preferences or if the company and knowledge you gain just from being their is worth the price of admission.But for sure buy some rum cake. You'd be a fool to skip it. And I didn't mention their house made rum itself, which I believe is available to buy. If you like a slow fire in your gut it's called something like Trademark Pending.“

“Wow, what a fantastic market and food destination. I was in for a quick lunch based on friend's recommendations and this was a fantastic experience. I do not speak Spanish what so ever and at first was a bit intimidated listening to others order. The menu is in Spanish and English so that problem was diverted. I had to point at a couple items to order and the ladies working were very accommodating. The food is out of this world delicious. Well seasoned, tender, and a large portion. I ordered the asada and pollo on a plate with beans and rice. Added some onion and cilantro then headed to their salsa bar. A word of caution BEWARE OF THE ORANGE SALSA!!!!!!! HOLY COW, HOT. All of the salsas were delicious. I found out they have an additional store with restaurant closer to home than this location. Love to music, smells, and atmosphere of the store. It was loud, vibrant, and full of life. Thank you too the staff for assisting in getting some items from the grocery, and to the kitchen staff for a great lunch. If you are looking for that one restaurant the makes your head sweat just a little, your nose run but from good food and seasonings, this is your place. FANTASTIC!“
