“I have lived in Jefferson City all my life and this week was my first time visiting Towne Grill. I don’t know how it was with previous owners, but this place was the perfect spot for breakfast. Friendly and clean, and the biscuits and gravy were delicious. Thank you, John Walker and staff!“

“I want to give a shout out to the manager, Kim who was absolutely wonderful when I called about our sons food allergies. She met us at our table, explained their process for food allergies, and ensured me that the kitchen staff had been notified. She personally delivered his food and checked in on us. Eating out when your child has life threatening food allergies is terrifying, and something we rarely do. So THANK YOU, Kim!! Your kindness means more than you know and Chilis is blessed to have you!“

“After doing some shopping today I stopped by to have dinner and play a couple games of pool. The staff was great and a very nice couple paid the bill. It’s nice to see there is still good folks out there. 🎄“

“Got the ribeye, some fries, a lava cake for my father, and a strawberry shortcake - the meal was 50 bucks total after tip, I split the steak with my father. The portion sizes are large enough to be split between 2 people, so it's about 25 per person on average - some of the best steak I've ever had.
I recommend it - just get it medium. They undergrill slightly, so if you like medium rare, just ask for it medium.“

“A very solid choice close to US 54 and the newer Courtyard Marriott. My wife and I were pleased with the menu options, and it was in a very nicely restored older commercial building. It’s generally a sports bar, but a more subdued one than many. Good option for a relatively quick meal and then back on the road.“

“The service was great. Our waitress refilled our drinks often and checked in on us enough. The hostess on the other hand just sat there and stared at her phone until we asked if we could get a table. She then told us that she was on a break.
Our food was fine. I had the catfish, my father and son both had a steak.“

“The food is always excellent at Freddy's. Their fries are the best in the world in my opinion. The only problem I had with this one was that the restrooms were discussing. I could tell they just got finished with a rush, so maybe they were still just catching up.“

Two things to note:
No credit cards. Please bring cash or check.
Call them on Friday for reservations and you will have a good time.
Friendly folks behind the counter and serving tables. All over this place felt like going over to grandma’s house out in the country for a long-needed family dinner.
Food-wise: we got the family chicken dinner.
Crispy, juicy chicken. Seasoned well, and always served piping hot!
Fluffy mashed potatoes, rich gravy, vinegary slaw with poppy seeds, green beans with country ham, sweet apple sauce, and great buttery biscuits. All made in house and madly delicious!
Somehow we saved room for dessert and had the most amazing peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream and the most decadent chocolate cream pie ever. All desserts made in house so we’ll be coming back to try them all!
