“We have been here numerous times over the years. Everything was great until they were sold out of the dinner I order. However this was not the problem. When I wanted to glance again at the menu the waitress said “ I love ya but I need you to hurry up.” I felt this was rude and poor customer service. I didn’t even have a chance to glance (not study) at the menu before she said that. We had been seated for 25 min. Before she took our food order. In her defense, she did come back and ask again and said she just didn’t have time earlier.Parking: Boat slips and land parkingKid-friendliness: Nice beach and kid friendly, ice cream shack“
“An Unforgettable Culinary Journey at the Branding Iron RestaurantFrom the moment we stepped into the Branding Iron Restaurant, we were greeted with the warmest of welcomes, setting the stage for a truly memorable dining experience. The ambiance struck a perfect balance between elegance and comfort, making us feel right at home. The menu was a delightful showcase of culinary creativity, each dish crafted with the freshest local ingredients. The highlight of our meal was the signature steak, seared to perfection, each bite a testament to the chef’s expertise. The flavors were bold and harmonious, leaving us savoring every morsel. The service was impeccable; our server was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring our glasses were never empty and our needs were promptly met. It was clear that the staff was passionate about providing exceptional service and enhancing the overall dining experience. To top it all off, the dessert was a masterful display of sweetness and texture, a perfect end to an already extraordinary meal.We left the Branding Iron Restaurant with satisfied palates and the certainty that we would return. It’s not just a meal; it’s a culinary adventure that we highly recommend to all. Five stars are not enough to capture the excellence of this gem in Sunrise Beach“
“14 of us went by boat to eat. One of the owners came over and set up tables so fourteen of us could sit at. Waitress came over and took our drink. Brought drinks out took our food orders. Came back and check on us before . Our food arrived everybody was happy with. Will certainly go“
“Note, this is NOT a traditional "restaurant." This is a fast food style restaurant located in a grocery store with a gas station combo. So don't come for the atmosphere, unless you're into that. They do have a small section of seating, but most of the interaction is via kiosk to order your food. That being said, I think it was a good value for money. They had an extensive value menu and many flexible options for food. The staff were friendly and helpful. We took three of our four kids and the environment was not very conducive for younger kids. But the food was substantial for the price. We found the food to be better than many fast food chains. A large grilled cheese with Texas toast was only $2. Mozzarella sticks we're much larger than your average. This is a good grab and go, with ULTIMATE flexibility on any food item. You dream it, they'll do it if they can. Great basic options for kids food though. Overall, great experience though. Made for a great stop.“
“We stopped by because my friend recommended this place. We arrived at 4:01 and they opened at 4 pmWe entered an empty restaurant, and the server said we could sit anywhere we wanted. I replied I'd like to sit on top of the bar. She said anywhere, but there and smiled. We were given drink options, and both decided on sweet tea.The server arrived with drinks, and we ordered. I asked for recommendations and ordered french-uletta, and she said i should try. She recommended Jambalaya for a side, and I said sure!My wife ordered Tasso Alfredo. Her meal came with a salad. The server asked if I wanted my jambalaya when she brought the salad. I said yes, please. The salad and jambalaya were TOP NOTCH!Salad was green and fresh, plus the bread was well butted and toasted to perfection! The jambalaya was pretty spicy if you are not into spice. The food arrived and it was cooked perfectly. The shrimp were flavorful with the Alfredo. The french-uletta was incredible! The server recommended for dessert a gooey butter cake and vanilla ice cream. We loved the dessert it was amazing, and she brought 2 little extra cakes I can't recall the name, complementary. They were tasty.Definitely recommend this place. Halfway into my meal, I knew I wanted to return. Seldom do I find a place I absolutely love and this place is one.Well, one in a million.“
“Very popular place on the West side of the lake. It has become like stopping at a franchised restaurant. We prefer the "Mom & Pop lake venues. Food is ok but overpriced. Staff run all the time to keep up. Nice beach, sand volleyball and docks.“
“Valentine's Day dinner 2024. Had reservations. Had to wait briefly while walk-in diners were seated before us. Not sure what was up with that. But we got a great table so maybe that's why we waited. Food was excellent as usual. Waitress was great. FYI, if you order a cocktail on ice, they charge $5 for a large ice cube, no warning. Odd. Could have taken the ice from our water glass for free. All in all, it was a pleasant experience with good food, just a couple unexpected quirks, atypical of Baxters.Older: View is great. Food is good and plentiful. Short wait for a "great table" by a wall (to be fair there was a window by my husband) at 149 pm on a Thursday before Memorial day.“
“The best place for Artisan style Sandwiches, Panini's, Soups and Salads!! Oh and don't forget the scrumptious homemade treats (cookies, carrot cake, muffins) Great antique atmosphere. Genuinely nice owner and staff!! This is a hidden gem at the Palisades center in OsageVegetarian options: Salads, Soups, Tea and treats“
“Val's is a staple on the west side. Food is consistent, but average. Nothing that stands out here. Don't go if you want homemade gravy or chicken fried steaks with your breakfast(hardly anyone makes good gravy anymore because they use the cheap mix, but their chick fried steaks aee from a freezer.) But the service is good, atmosphere welcoming, bathrooms need improvement, but overall a pleasant experience and while not my favorite, I'm sure we'll return.“
“This place was such a disappointment we drove an hour and a half and was treated horrible. I am retired Air Force heard about this place and wanted to give it a try. We had to clean our own table. The food was over cooked and dry and horrible, the bathrooms were dirty, no paper towels to dry your hands or soap. Drinks were spilled on the dance floor and employees just left them there. The dance floor was almost nonexistent (so small) and the music was so loud you literally couldn't hear the person next to you scream at you to talk. Much less get a drink order. Don't go you'll waste your money and time. We paid $44.00 for 2 small pulled pork sandwiches and 2 orders of fries and 4 beers. Never again..... horrible place and staff.“
“The service was really good and our server was very friendly. She answered all of our questions and was so helpful. The food was great!!! Philly Cheesesteak, Cuban, jalapeno corn, queso and chips, and strawberry spinach salad. Not one thing we tried was bad. Would highly recommend!!“
“stewarts is an institution at the lake. traditional diner with everything you'd expect.breakfast is great and reasonably priced. i like that you can get pork tenderloin with breakfast - yum! so tender!had french toast today; came with 2 large tasty, well prepared slices. bacon was crisp and everyone's eggs came how they wanted them.my only "complaint" is that i wish there were a few more vegetable side options. but hey - SMALL thing!we ate there twice on our visit to the lake, for breakfast each time. service and food were both great. very fast and friendly.in an older location but very neat and clean. a definite DO if you are in the area.“
“GREAT food… small local owned bar and grill. Non smoking section for dinning. Great home town service….the price is unbeatable… bring your appetite and able to park a truck and trailer.Parking: Parking is great and Truck and trailer accessible“
“Beautiful restaurant and quaint for a nice dinner date! Shrimp corn dogs appetizer was a great start followed by the lobster mac & cheese which was absolutely divine. Added a unique cocktail and was greeted by the owners during our wonderful evening.Kid-friendliness: Provided coloring supplies and a nice free water bottle for our 3-year-old to take home.“
“Arrived early and pleased we did as the restaurant was busy and not many seats open for immediate set down. Service was above average but you could tell the staff was a bit stressed. Food was good but nothing exceptional or above normal expectations. Drinks a bit lacking in strength for margaritas. A lot going on with decor but appears they are going for the neighborhood place to go for relaxation. We like having this option for close, friendly and decent food sooooo close for Hwy 7 folks at the lake. TR- The Lake Rose“
“The service was very friendly & welcoming. They said it would be a 35 minute wait, (which was fine because they were visibly quite busy & the view of the lake was beautiful anyway), but we ended up only waiting about 15 minutes for a table. The food was delicious & reasonably priced (especially for the lake area). The wait for the food also seemed like no time at all, with the combination of the scenery & the live music. After dinner, we enjoyed a couple of cocktails at their adults all swim up bar. We didn't have the kids with us, but if we had, it wouldn't have been a problem at all since the kids' pool was just below. I will definitely be back this summer & others to follow. HIGHLY recommend!Kid-friendliness: The kids I saw there seemed to be having a blast.“
“We visited Stewart's on Easter Sunday for a quick breakfast. Gals were so cute with their bunny ears and the service was fantastic. Food was good. We all enjoyed it. Cute little small town restaurant.Parking: Pulled right up to front door.“
“Amazing food and great place to unwind and have a few drinks after a long work week!! My girlfriend and I came here for lunch, and we both had bacon cheeseburgers with a drink. Everything was perfect and the burgers are definitely huge and delicious.“
“Last time I drove 40 minutes out to Taboo they were closed by 6.. online said open till 8. We got there at 6:06. ? We went back that weekend & the teen who served us didn’t say welcome in, how’s it going, nothing. When we said thank you after ordering she didn’t say anything just walked off. I’ve been coming here since 2017-2018 when they opened. Used to love this place! Plus side is the food is still good.“
“I've only eaten here a couple of times, but this last time, I specifically went on a lunch date with my husband from Barnett. It's a bit of a drive, but it's worth it. Fully loaded menu featuring sooooo many deserts. If you don't know what to choose from, staff and customers both can recommend your new favorite munchies. “
“Where to start…This course is awesome. A hidden gem in Laurie, MO.Chris who managers the course is fantastic to work with. I’m a complete amateur and he was welcoming to the point where I bought a membership. Now onto the actual restaurant review:Riley, TT, Alex, and the rest of the staff are friendly and attentive even on the busiest of days. The food is great (try the pizza!) and drinks are not your typical watered down golf course cocktail. It’s a super inviting atmosphere for even the most amateur of us.I’m somewhat of a regular here and plan on keeping it that way.“
“Beautiful facility inside .loved our waitress Lizzie she gave the experience a delightful touch as soon as we arrived ! Mike brought us some great onion rings to start .Salad dressing was the best we have ever had . Nice shrimp appetizer. Wonderful pork dish and I loved my steak. And to make things even better was the assistant waitress Sophie . The presentation was awesome. ,you must try this place !!!!!!! And great desserts“
“We rented a cabin not far from this local bar. We try to eat at locally owned places. We liked it so much we ate here 3 nights! We had Kate 2 nights as our server, she was super friendly and made a good drink! Crazy she was from Tacoma Washington too! Fun to hang out with a bunch of locals, where everyone knows each other! Best boasted chicken and good sides! If your in the area, go support this great business!!Retired Restaurant Girl ? ?“
“Grabbed a drink and afternoon snack here after getting in town for a conference. The weather was beautiful so we sat outside on the deck and enjoyed the lake view. Our waiter was new to the restaurant and did a great job. He checked back often to ensure our drinks were full and to see if we needed anything. Definitely recommend the loaded bbq nachos!“
“I will be back a 2nd time to make sure I grab photos, as I was starving and didn’t have time to grab photos before the food was gone.I took my family to the Blue Cat for dinner and we were more then impressed. Food ordered included: Catfish, Lobster Roll, Ruben, Smash Burger, Chicken Sandwich, Chicken wings and Fried Green Beans. The catfish is amazing and would highly recommend. The lobster roll is bigger then your head and amazing. Wings are super crispy and moist, and the fired green beans were A++. Their house chips are amazing, and we’re enjoyed by all.Highly recommend. Plenty of socks if you want to boat in, or a simple drive down to the end of HH.“
“It has been a long time since we have been to Michael's. I am trying to eat the less meat for health reasons, but unfortunately I love a good steak. Although there are a few excellent steak restaurants here at the Lake of the Ozarks, I have come to think that Michaels is probably the best or, maybe tied for best. There is awesome service, and an excellent view of the lake, if you get the right table. Everything was wonderful. We had the lobster stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer. My wife had the shrimp, which she let me have one of, and of course they were super. You get six very jumbo shrimp in a very tasty batter. She also had the lobster macaron cheese, which is also pretty amazing. I had the strip steak. Maybe not the most tender cut, but has what I call the "steakiest" flavor. We finished off with a lava cake dessert for two. You wouldn't want to eat this way very often, but when you are ready to indulge a little bit, this place definitely won't disappoint.“
“We (8 of us) stayed on-site at Margaritaville for a night. We ended up eating here twice--once for dinner and once for breakfast. The kids were on campus at the indoor water park, so we ordered dinner for takeout. I wish I would have taken a picture of the island grilled chicken that I had. It was delicious. I was honestly expecting one measly little piece of chicken and what I got was two pieces of nice sized chicken. The salsa was incredibly flavorful. We were all surprised at the portion sizes! Then, for breakfast, my husband and I snuck away to get a bite to eat. We ate down in the restaurant. Now, understand, we are here in December. We got seated right away and there weren't too many people in the restaurant at 8 am. There are lots of tables and different levels in the restaurant itself (so lots of stairs). We got a nice sized glass of water. Service was pretty good! Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and helpful. We were never once pressured into the buffet, although it was an option for $18.99 a person. We opted for the menu and got our food within 15 minutes. I should have also taken a picture of the menu, but the prices were reasonable ($10-16) for the entrees. Overall, we were pleased!“
“Came here with my grandparents for dinner. We sat outside as it was nice out. I had the ribs. They had grilled cheese brisket and Carolina pulled pork. We also had the fried potatoes salad all of which were really good. But the best thing about the place was the waitress. She was funny and very kind. Will be returning“
“Love this place! Very cozy log cabin feel to it. Definitely a place with mostly just locals that both work and patron the place. The food is REALLY really good. Always a fun time. Some people just go to eat and then leave. We usually went to socialize. Highly recommend you check out this local gem.“
“I gave service a 5 star but they are a bit slow at times to notice new people at the bar. Once they do the service is good.Went back to back 2 nights in a row and food both nights was great! The pizza is probably top of the list for sure.Friday night we went about 7ish and the bar was full. Music was a bit loud for the space to the point where you can barely hear the bartender talking.“
“Just an update. I wrote a review on something that happened a couple of weeks ago. It really wasn't a bad review just made some comments the owners must really taken offense to,because now I can't pull them up on Facebook or go to their site on Google. Such a shame because I have always given them fairly good reviewsI really like most of their food. Hope someday they can get over it. Sincerely Joyce Fultz“
“We came midweek this winter for something nice and cozy, and boy did it deliver. There were sweeping views of the lake, a warm atmosphere like home and a neat custom bourbon bar tucked into the back. It was happy hour, so we ordered some delicious apps like Piggie Wings and a pretzel. I had a smoked old fashioned that was excellent. We decided to stay for dinner- pork chop, chicken a la mer, and pasta. The service was attentive and we can't wait to come back. Thanks!“
“Our first impression driving up was that we were about to have a unique and memorable experience at The Tavern. The food did not disappoint and the service at our table was excellent. The only criticism I would give is when we walked in we had a few minutes to wait for our table and we felt like we were outsiders at the bar. We were going to get a drink and sit by the fire but it took awhile for the bartender to stop talking to what appeared to be regulars and wait on us. We did finally get drinks and sat down. The other thing that really struck us was how the decor seemed like an afterthought and the items looked like they were picked up at a yard sale for out dated restaurants. I pictured since it is an old rustic cabin it would be decorated with similar decor. Our table wobbled terribly and was very small and the chairs were stained and uncomfortable at the fireplace with a hodgepodge of mismatched cabinets packed in around them. We will probably return for the excellent food sometime but for the price it was not the atmosphere I would have expected.“
