About The Russell House Restaurant Inn and Brewery

The Russell House Restaurant Inn and Brewery offers a great atmosphere, awesome service, and phenomenal food, including their signature appetizer armadillo eggs and fresh avocado. They also serve good steaks and incredible coffee from DUBUQUE coffee company. This historic building is a great place to eat, even with large groups. Customers have celebrated special occasions here, praising the friendly and professional staff, especially when hosting large parties. The fried pickles are highly recommended and considered the most amazing ever. The menu also features steak tips, strawberry walnut salad, and jalapeño burger with fries, which are popular choices. However, some recent visits have been disappointing, citing overpricing, undercooked pork chop dinners, and concerns about cleanliness, including mold on ceilings and dirty carpets. Despite these issues, the restaurant remains a favored spot for many, especially for those seeking a welcoming environment and great service.

We just celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary at the Russell House. Fantastic experience! We had a party of 40 plus - food and service was excellent! Words that comes to mind working with Doug and his team includes professional, knowledgeable and friendly. If you are looking for a venue to celebrate an event, we highly recommend the Russell House without reservation.

I have frequented this restaurant a few times in the past but it is been a few years. I always thought the food was good and the drinks were well priced. But the visit we had tonight... To say this was the most disappointing visit is truly an understatement after the meal that we had this evening. I will say the fried pickles are the most amazing that I have ever had. So kudos for that. But the dinners are wayyyyyyyyy overpriced. And the food is trash. We got a pork chop dinner,...read full review
